sure, shelley, you are member 41

4kg only but you still have over 70 days!
Hi Julieathome: I'd like to add my wishes for a speedy recovery for your husband.

#15 reporting
My weekly stats:
Tuesday: 66.2 (after a fast)
Wednesday: 66.0
Thursday: 65.8 (after a fast) *so excited to be in the 65s*
Friday: 66.3
Saturday: 66.3
Sunday: 66.4 (after a fast)
Monday: 66.6
and I refuse to enter today's weight because it depresses me so much :-(
Dinner and drinks on Tuesday and Thursday. A party on Friday. Brunch and alot of drinks on Monday (a holiday in Japan). oh, plus running, sore muscles, and lots of water retention (presumably) Bad bad week :-( :-(

I've been daily weighing since sometime in July when I bought these fancy-schmancy scales, but I think I still haven't gotten the hang of the daily fluctuations, even though I know they are essentially meaningless.

Anyway... I'm off the wine until after the half-marathon on Saturday. I'm honestly not expecting to lose this week (well, maybe relative to today's number) even if I really stick with healthy eating, because I'll be a doing lots of repairing after the half. Fitness is more important than a number...

edit to add: On Oct. 1, I was at 67.5, so I am 0.9 kg closer to my goal of 63kg by Christmas.
YIippee I am back, #no 9 reporting down 5 notches notch ... Yes!

Weekly weights are
8/10. 75.7
9/10. 76.4
10/10. 76.6
11/10. 76.6
12/10. 76.0
13/10. 76.8
14/10. 76.9
15/10. 75.1

Oops can't count 6 notches down
#26 reporting my lowest weight so far: 71.4. Yesterday someone called me 'the shrinking woman.' I seem to have lost quite a bit off my face. Wonderful to feel my weight on the move again after a long plateau.
Thanks for the reportings ins.. wheres the other 37 (kidding)

Maryann.. bring on that 63
Gillmary #26... 1/2 notches are good. im so obsessive these days i want to get scales that give me 2 decimal places. haha
Sallyo .. we are so close in weights you and I. i so so so want to see the 70 somethings even just once. I remember the first time in this 6 months i saw the 71 somthings it was a good day though it was after a sickness. shrinking woman is a good nickname. plateaus are evil :curse:
Juliana, you are obviously taller than me though and have already achieved a healthy BMI. My progress tracker tells me that if I keep on losing weight at this rate, I will achieve my interrum goal - under 70 kgs , by 24th of December. Cutting it a bit fine, perhaps,

1 day leeway.. now thats what i call living dangerously
69 days to go till Chrismas

theres that number 69 again

are you ready for the big challenge?

i am.

ive got 12 notches to go!
I have a mini plateau (at least, I hope it's a mini one!) but I am fasting today. I am not busy this weekend, so may squeeze an additional fast in on Sunday.
Amazing! This morning my weight dropped again to 70.7kgs. The lowest ever! It seems to hit a low 2 days after fasting, so I guess it will go up tomorrow.

There are 2 other women at work doing this and now the boss wants to do it. He wants us to email his wife and send her the links because she thinks it's a crazy extreme idea.

Hang in there Penny. Plateaux are temporary.
Hubby ended up back home after just one night away. It seems that his specialist had good intentions but couldn't get everything together in time. The idea was that hubby went in and got all the investigations and talks with different specialists done in one week. But even getting the xrays sorted just wasn't working out. So he came home and is due back in on Thursday for the Xrays, bloods and to have his knee drained. Other specialists will give him outpatients appointments. Hubby would rather a 140 mile round trip than staying over night anyway.

The verdict so far is that he is going to need one or both elbows replaced, which should be next year sometime. Both knees will need replacing, but in about 5 years, then both hips at another 5 years again. What he is really happy about is that he now has a physiotherapist who understands the difference between treating a broken bone and managing a degenerative condition.

So, I have my bed warmer back, but with this cold I don't appreciate it. My cold has slid down to my bronchial tubes as usual so I am coughing like a 60 a day smoker. But other than that I'm feeling a bit better.
I have no hope to get into the 70s never mind the 60s til xmas 2014
But will aim at losing ten pounds for christmas 2013..if theres just about ten weeks to go, i 'll aim to shed a pound a week..
Do we get a little card like we used to get in the old days when shops had a sign up saying,Join our Christmas Club x
