Re: Are you 5ft 4 (ish)?

How's everybody getting on? Are we all shrinking in the right way rather than the height way? My weight loss has definitely slowed down now after 4 weeks ( well it slowed after the first two!) but it's still coming off and my clothes definitely feel much better.
I'm still on 4:3 as I'm probable a bit too naughty at weekends so like to keep it to fasting on Mon/Wed/Fri leaving me treats for Saturday and Sunday.
Half term this week so I'm at home with the kids and it's VERY inconvenient of them to want food!
I actually had the willpower to pass my son the tiramisu spoon so I didn't lick it today :P
Hope it's going well!

Yes, I'm just a shade under 5'4". 46 years old and 'apple shaped'.

I'm currently 10st 7lb but even though not very overweight, my waist:height ratio is not good, so I want to be under 9st 7lb. I have high blood pressure requiring meds and a borderline cholesterol issue, plus there is breast cancer in my family.

So all very good reasons to have a better BMI!

Good luck to all the 'smaller people' out there :-D xxx

Good morning all, well Im 5.3 and 11st.6lbs Im aiming for 9.10 which seems to be the magic number on here, I think it's because it's a nice distance from 10st, haha, but Im going to try not to focus on numbers and more on how I feel and look I've been overweight for about 10 years now and who knows 9st 10 may be too thin (I wish !!) ;)

I am very pleased to have lost 3lb since 4th February and more importantly an inch and a half from my waist. Proberts91, I am apple shaped too and previously when I have tried to lose these stubborn pounds they have gone from everywhere but my middle. This WOE is working in that respect.

I plan to continue on 6:1 once I've reached my target of 9st 7lb (another 3lb to go)

I would be interested to hear if there is any evidence of the same health benefits from 6:1 as 5:2.

I am 5:4 and doing exactly the same as Claire. 4:3 and keep weekends free ( and try not to to run riot !!)
I am losing about one pound per week and am now just under 11 stone and aiming at about 9 st 7 lbs.
Weight loss has definitely slowed though but it is still in the right direction and seeing the scales showing 10 something consistently is certainly a boost.
Thank goodness for 10 calorie jellies !!

Hi
I'm 5' 3" and weigh 10 and a half stone. I would dearly love to be around 9 stone but as I have a small frame this would probably still leave me with too high a percentage of fat. Early days for me on this plan so we'll see how it goes. Have another fast day tomorrow only my second. Nice to chat.

Thank you for your replies! It's great to see how everybody is doing & what people are aiming for! I've had an odd week and ended up doing consecutive days but back to te Mon Wed Fri next week. Can't stop getting on the scales & it's not doing me any good ( as nothing's moving) My OH works away & I might make him take them with him next week

I just wanted to ask how all my fellow 5ft 4ish fellow 5:2ers are getting on? Also, with so many new members, there must be some newbies to join us.
I'm a bit stuck weight wise, but my inch loss is very pleasing, and I have dropped a dress size, now size 14 is feeling loose and I'm looking towards being a size 12 before my birthday in June.

Good morning Ladies. I am 5'3" and I am aiming at 113 pounds. I am about five pounds away from my goal. I am doing 5:2 because I want to lose the weight slowly. I often do not eat enough of my feed days, so sometimes I have to eat carbs to keep my appetite up. The fasting has changed my desire for food.

Hi, I'm 5'4" exactly, and I'd like to get down to 125lbs (I don't know how much that is in stone, sorry!). That was my weight before I had my daughter, and I only have about ten pounds to lose but I've never been able to lose it. I'm really also interested in losing inches as well. In the US, I'm a size 8, but I think that translates to a size 10 in the UK, so I'd be very pleased to get down to a US size 6 (UK size 8) which is what I used to wear years ago. I think 125lbs is a good healthy weight, anything less than that I think might be a struggle to maintain. But who knows, maybe with 5:2 it would be easier to get to 122lbs or thereabouts.

Hi I am 5'3 (160 cm) and I am aiming for around 57kg goal. At the moment I am 61.6 kg, I will be vey thrilled to see a 50 something on the scales even if its 59.9 kg  It's the first time for as long as I can remember (I am 30) I am at this weight, usually when I am on a diet ( much stricter than 5:2 plan) I go down to 62.5kg and than just bounce up and down between 62.5 - 65kg. This time I am determined to reach my goal and I feel with this WOE I can do it and keep it off :victory:

Hi, I'm 5ft 4 and have been on the 5:2 regime since the middle of January. I have started from 66.8kg (147 pounds, 10st 7 pounds) and now am 62.9 (139 pounds, 9st 13). I have been counting calories for the first two weeks on the fast days but now not counting calories and just have 1 meal on the fast day. Is anyone doing something similar? I find it very easy to do. Overall, I'm very pleased with the diet.

I'm nearly 5'4", put on about 2 stones and 2 dress sizes over the last 7 or 8 years. At 10 stone 5 I decided I needed to do something about it, and took about 2 years to lose 5-6 lb. I've been following the fodmap diet for IBS for about a year which has helped a lot
Started 5:2 four weeks ago and have scraped under the 9st 10 barrier on a couple of occasions for the first time. Finding it quite hard today I have to say.

Hello fellow 5ft4ers  I'm still here and on week 8 now I think! The weight loss has slowed but it is still coming off at around a pound a week. Think I've lost around 16lbs so far and I am thrilled
First aim was to get to 10 stone something and my goal now is to get to 9 stone something. I'm still doing a kind of 4:3 but on the 3rd fast day I go all day without food but then eat whatever I fancy for tea as Friday nights are often curry/ chicken kebabs.
I think cutting down on the vino has helped, I've just not been that bothered about it :?:
Good luck everyone!

I'm not going too well I'm afraid, the dreaded plateau I think. I've only lost 2kg since 14th Jan and had been hoping for a bit more, but that's life! I would be ecstatic to get my BMI to 25 or thereabouts. I am trying the Claire007 approach next week so I can have fish and chips at camp on Friday!!
