Are you 5ft 4 (ish)?
29 Jan 2013, 23:41
Hi just wondered about those of a similar height to me and what your target weights are? Also interested to know how you approach your feed days? I'm in my second week. I lost 4lbs in my first week & did 4:3 to give myself a kick start. I have to say I was also fairly careful what I ate on feed days. I put on most of my weight in the last year ( after giving up the evil cigarettes!) :P and felt I needed to keep an eye on my intake. I can't believe how the fast days have impacted on the amount of food I now have on feed days, appetite is so much smaller. I would LOVE to be 9st, realistically though I'd be happy with 9st 7 and for now just VERY happy for something beginning with a TEN!

My goal is 9st 10lb at 55 I don't think I am likely to go any lower, but as you say 10 anything would be good :D

I have always been 5ft 4, but last year I took part in a medical survey, Biobank, and I'm now 5ft 3, so not only have I put on weight, I've shrunk! I'm aiming for 9st 10, which I have just randomly chosen, but if I can get down to 10st it would be my lightest for 20 years. I had my son when I was almost 40, and my weight has been up and down ever since, but mainly up. I would really like to lose inches from my waist, which is really big for my height, 1 inch lost from there so far, about 5 to go.

morning ladies, I also am 5' 4" .I am aiming for 10 st 7lbs.That is the top end of my weight for height/frame size. I may go lower if I can but not but much lower.I once acheived 9st 10lbs ,it didnt look that good on me, much like a walking bag of spanners and now I'm 60 I feel I need a bit of flesh to pad the skin out. ugh .. If you're younger you may get away with lighter. It all depends on what 'look' you like.My hubby is a Nigella fan so....
I'm off to fill my tracker in now.Ive lost 1 lb since saturday.I'm going for 4:3 this week to really give me a push and also try not to eat too much on non fast days.I had 1900 cals yesterday, I know its within guidlines but I think I'll be aiming for 1500 tomorrow.
all the best, Barbara

Good morning, I am 5'4" (ish) - I always used to be 5'5" but I seem to have shrunk too :-) Am currently 11st 10 - down from 12st. My ideal weight before children was 8st 7. I have been many different weights over the past few years :-) and am now aiming for 9st 7. After having my 3 children (20, 18, 13) my weight stuck around 10st 7. For my 40th (10 yrs ago) I spent a year on a healthy eating plan & got down to 9st but couldn't keep it up for ever & my weight crept up again to 10st 7. Going through divorce 7 yrs ago my weight dropped to 7st 12. I looked terrible, flat chested and bones sticking out. I thought it was the divorce diet, but it turns out the stress had triggered Graves (over-active thyroid) that runs in my family. Medication brought me back to 10st & I was stable for a few years, but repeated bouts of Graves meant my medication was doubled & I continued to gain weight in leaps & bounds - literally. I've put 2 stone on in the past 4 years, hitting menopause hasn't helped either. I've tried weightwatchers, but I really can't be doing with all that tracking. I travel a lot abroad with my job, so it's difficult to track the type of food on offer & internet connections are not always working. I had my first fast day yesterday and am feeling quite inspired. I plan to watch the Horizon programme online tonight. So after all that waffle - basically I am aiming for 9st 7 (60kg) which in 3 lbs time will only be 2 stone away :-) Good luck to all, best wishes Andie

Hi Yes I'm 5ft 4ins or maybe slightly less these days. I'm 56 and a year ago was 11and a half stone, my heaviest ever! Now down to 10 and a half after about 6 months of occasional fasting and restricting carbs and alcohol! I was always about 8and a half stone until having my children late in my 30's, since then its crept up gradually. Now i'm on 5:2 fasting and aiming to get below 10 stone, hopefully a bit lower. I am quite broad shouldered and have long arms but no boobs!

I'm 5'4" and reached my heaviest by summer last year, piling a load of weight on since moving in with my partner and then since we got married. I was 57kg when we got together, 66kg when we moved in together, 72kg when we got married and 86kg at my 'peak'. I'm appalled with myself. In the past I had hit around 80kg before coming down to 57kg. I don't see that as a sustainable weight for me though, I had a bad relationship with food when I got that small and it was also due to stress and a very controlling ex.

I'm now back down to 71kg and hoping to reach around 65kg, which in the past has been a maintainable weight for me. Ideally 60kg would be nice, what's that? Just over 9st? While the loss has slowed down now I think the 65kg goal should be reachable by around the end of April and hopefully towards July I'll be nearer 60kg, in time to fit easily back into my waders for the summer bass run :D

I'm 5'5" and have set my target at 65 kg. However, that would be the lightest I have been since leaving school, so I am not sure how achievable it is. As you say, I'd be happy with anything that starts 10st??lb.

Well I am feeling a bit of a fatty now :(

I am 5ft 4 and currently weigh 15st 6lbs. When I first started my lose weight / get fit plan in January 2012 I weighed 17st 10lb. So things are certainly heading in the right direction :)

My goal at the moment is just to get to 13 something and then will re-evaluate where I want to be. I have never as an adult seen 13st as starting number on the scales so that would be a great achievement for me.

I'm hoping with 5:2 it will be a nice steady weight loss down to the 13's and then I can decide where I want to go with my weight loss.

I am 5ft 4 and my goal is 9 1/2 stones too. I will see how I look & feel when I get there as 9 st is my ultimate goal. I can actually feel safe in saying WHEN I get there rather than if.... Because for the first time in years I know I will ! I feel 5:2 is sustainable for me. I'm loving it ! :)

Thank you to all for your lovely honest replies! It's nice to feel we're in a safe place to discuss the F word without being judged! I am a shopaholic & cannot buy ANY more clothes until I loose some more weight! I have promised myself a lovely whistles leather jacket once I see 9 st something! 2 or 3 days a week without spending on lunch at work should help me save!

I'm nearly 5'4 and started at 10st 2lb, now 9st 9, aiming for 9st 4 next then 9st then will see what it looks like on me! Treating myself to something new to wear once I get to 9s 4!

I'm 5ft 5 and ideally i would love to get back to 8 and half stone but I suspect that won't ever happen again now and 9 and half would be more realistic. Still a very long way to go though to that though!

Hello, I'm also 5'4 and just started fasting. Ideally i'd like to be 9-9 and a half stone, I'm currently 13 and a half (yikes). It's been so long since I wore a pair of jeans - i'm using that thought as a goal/motivator.

Nice to know so many other 5foot4ers!
