Good afternoon Team Marvelous,

Nice to see that we are growing in numbers! your very welcome to join us Janeg! Wow that is hot (I love going on hols to warm places but i tend to the person sitting in the shade with a nice cold drink looking at the sun..) Good work getting on mad max again, i am sure you can tame him over time.

Great stuff Hummingbird, that's a huge leap in running time. Have you targeted a 5km to run?

I had two mini wins that i have to credit team marvelous with. Last night just before bed i was a little hungry and I had a choc bar in my hand and I thought of the team and i actually put it back.
Then this morning - still in bed i read Hummingbird's post about jogging and I was inspired. 10 mins later i was out jogging. Feel great now - so thanks hummingbird :-)

So, quick update on yesterday..
I had an okay day - ended up having a pub lunch but I did loads of walking to make up for it. And i ended up staying in last night - its the drink and the next day's hang hung over that gets me (when hung over i eat anything and everything). I am glad that i stayed in last night and i feel great now.

I am also on a fast day today. Hummm might go for a walk soon.

Have a great day everyone :-)

Legoman, See that chocolate bar you put down last night? It's shouting to me! I'm really hungry today after yesterday's fast. And, for the first time in over 40 fasts, I feel really energetic. How odd. And hungry. Did I mention that I was hungry?
I've had breakfast and lunch. Really thought I needed elevensies but held out to just before one for lunch. Now 4 o'clock and my tummy is actually rumbling, so had some cheese and biscuits and coffee. Not a fast day sonI can eat, but just HUNGRY!
Well done on your jog and hope the fast goes well.

So... since joining the Marvellous May team I have sort been a bit naughty... I've binged a bit on the last 3 feed days and put on a few hundred grams. But I'm now at 10pm on my fast day and have kept nice and busy so I haven't found it too hard. I have a very stressful few weeks coming up so I hope I can keep it up!
I must stay strong! Marvellous May begins today... again... for me!

I'm glad I inspired you to go for a jog :) it was such a beautiful morning :)

I also had a mini win last night, although actually, considering the *massive* about of will power that went into it, it was quite a big win...

One of my housemates received some bad news this week and so, to cheer her up a tiny bit, I bought her some of her favourite chocolates... only it turns out that she's gone away this weekend and so said chocolates have been sitting on the dining table since Saturday afternoon.

11pm rolled around last night and I *so* nearly ate them! (How low is that - eating chocolates that you've bought for a friends :s)... I could imagine their taste and texture and figured out I could buy her some more today... but then I forced myself to get up, leave the room and go to bed without eating them because a) they were a gift!!! and b) sabotaging myself is pointless and I would have been ashamed of myself for letting you all down!!

Another win for team marvellous and will power! Although I can't quite get over the fact that I was even considering eating them...

Oh well done Hummingbird! I think chocolate actually sings to us sometimes. I'm not a chocolate person, really but the little siren sometimes sings from the press. The Lindt chocolate mini bunnies did it today (left over fromEaster)
Was so hungry, had sensiblemniscuits and chees emand then a wee bunny sang. It tasted foul! Earless bunny sat on top of microwave and was scarfed by beloved when he came in.
Re: *Marvellous May* - Day 6

So team, it's the end of day 6! How did we all do?

My day involved my aforementioned run and then a round trip (walking) that was just shy of 8km. So I think I've burnt just under 2000kcal and, as I've been fasting (and didn't eat at all today), I've consumed 99calories, which brings me to a lovely looking deficit of roughly 1900kcal *hurrah*.

I'm feeling a tad peckish now but am just going to go to bed and look forward to breakfast tomorrow morning.

I love that 'cleansed and in control' feeling at the end of a successful fast day.

Good night all x

Under 500 cal today, did my little bits of exercise, and practiced my bass clarinet! Made supper and I'm about ready for bed... Take Care all.

Morning Team Marvellous!
Inspired by yesterday's success with MadMax and the resultant energy, I have decided to embark on this 30 day shred thing. I think it may kill me - I've got it set to run and haven't looked at it so am going in blind.
If I don't post for a while you'll know what's happened.
Good luck to everyone in TM...

Good Morning everyone and well done team!

Yesterday seemed like a really good day for all. Wow only 99 cals in a day that’s great Hummingbird (I have yet to do that might give it a try on my next fast day).

Yesterday was a good day for me too. As I said earlier I went for a lovely jog then walked around loads during the day and chilled out in the sun on my local common - Amazing... Then someone suggested a BBQ.. So After not eating all day I had a two burgers at the BBQ (each burger was around 160Cal and with the buns I might just of gone over - but not by much).

Oh Janeg - I don’t exactly know what the 30 day shred is.. but you have all our support and do keep us all posted!

Well done Debbiejgb – That’s the way to do it! And it’s good to hear from you again Fredi. I have had some really busy weeks myself. The best thing you can do is plan the fast days, they will be tough but they soon pass. Well done on completing yesterdays fast (Virtual high Five!)

Keep up the amazing work Team Marvellous – Day 7 watch out, here we come!

Hi there, Team Marvellous,

Can I please rejoin? This really is a Marvellous May, most of the veggies I've sown are beginning to germinate, I sowed kale yesterday and found my seeds of lovely basil, which I will sow later on today. Pumpkin plants are growing nicely, they are at the hardening-off stage, so they are allowed to sleep in the house for the time being (till mid-May). I really look forward to cooking loads of lovely pumpkin soup in the autumn! Any other gardening enthusiasts in the team? If so, I would really enjoy exchanging tips etc. - gardening is a fairly new thing for me. I enjoyed reading your inspiring messages. As for me I'm doing OK-ish weight-wise (lost 3.5 kg since I started on the 1st of April); as for exercise - that's another thing:frown: . Re chocolate and other 'goodies', I store/hide them in the back of my cupboard below the stairs and then try to forget about them. It's unfortunate they can scream so loud! Sometimes they just seem to want to be eaten. Ah, well, they can always be fitted into a non-repair day. Wishing all of you a lovely day, josie50 aka the lady with the limp

Still alive- didn't seem as bad as it is made out to be BUT that could all change tomorrow if I can't move with the spaegie!
josie50 I am a keen gardener and have had lovely gardens in the past but it isn't viable in the sand pit. I do miss it so much.
Daily weighing in interesting for me with the fluctuations- I'm not going to get hung up on it, and will do it for a week then forget about it. was also going to calorie count/check for a month but have decided not to bother. If this is for life then the weight will shift in time. Don't want to complicate it- just be healthy.
Hummingbird- well done for enjoying the barbeque and being sensible. imcountingufos has had a barbie and talks about what she ate- sounds good too.

Sure the more people in the team the better Josie50. Sadly i dont have a garden at the min. My flat does not have one. I have a few house plants if that counts..

Of course houseplants count as well. Ever considered growing bean sprouts and the like? Lentils and mung beans sprout quite readily on the kitchen window sill on kitchen paper in a small container, providing you give them their daily rinse. They provide a healthy, low-calorie addition to your stir-fry, omelette or soup! I haven't a proper garden, it's more of a patio with plants in containers. Off to run a few errands now, it's a fast day for me today.
