Oh @Sue.Q you just do the best you can. Sometimes I think it is good to follow your body's craves. You can always reschedule a new fast. I also think it is good you turn your fasts which go pear shaped into window days. I think mainly don't beat yourself up. Fast when you can and not too much, eat healthily and heartily as we know a feast is also a kick starter. Keep up your exercise as well.

I am just at the tailend of a stressful period of work and I just did the best I could without putting more pressure on myself. Fasted when I could and I have maintained. Am looking at the second year of fasting now with different lenses. My goal is to maintain the bulk of my weight loss, keep up the fasting and exercise. Also looking more into developing a very healthy eating plan incorporating the best of what I learn on here. Mostly no pressure.

How are buddies @jools7 and @daydreamer21 faring. Chin up lovely @Sue.Q you will find your groove

Hello foursomers, @gillymary, @sue.q and @daydreamer21,

Really like your thoughts about going with the flow, Gilly, sometimes I think we just need to hunker down, do what we can & wait for better times. Great to keep up the exercise, that's the one thing that ties it all together for me. That & posting here, even though that damned black box has suddenly appeared again to obscure my thoughts! Go away black box!!

My fasting & exercise have actually been going really well (apart from constipation!!) and I'm getting my head around weighing an all-time low, double figures for the first time in around 30 years I think. But luckily I don't have much time to disappear up my own bum pondering it too much, as I'm going to Gold Coast today, last arvo of study in my peaceful beachfront apartment, then exam tmrw morning in Brisbane. Groupwork, conflict facilitation and ethics! Haven't slept well, too much running through my head, but hey, that's not the first time & it won't be the last.

I have a 5day seminar after my exam, so I'll still be busy but not so fraught. Talk to you all soon!

Love from Jools xx

@jools7 prunes dear wonderful bags of goodness to get things moving. I have a snap lock bag of the pitted variety of prunes in my pantry and when ever I remember I have a couple and especially the day after a fast. Congratulations about the losses in double figures. It is so fabulous to hear stories here of weights not see in 20 and 30 years. Go us. All the best for your exams

@Sue.Q hello there I haven't fasted since the weekend so have to give myself similar talking to and get cracking as far too much Indian & Thai meals have been eaten by me. Lovely large group celebration though but have to get back on IF wagon

Spammy the yellow band is obscuring the tag so can't call you but hope your pain is manageable

@daydreamer21 sincere apologies for the number of times I have called you spammy ... It is not I but my spellcheck which switches every time and if I am not paying attention. Don't know how to save your name as is the iPad.

Calling all buddies @gillymary@daydreamer21And the traveling @jools7
Seemingly down to two for now, Sammy are you OK it worries me when we hear nothing from you.
New week new plan feeling motivated and very good this morning and I'm pledging 4:3 plus 16:8 other days, just returned from a walk up to town and carried two bags the longer route home forgetting I'd got a tub of ice cream in one of my bags lol
my hubby will never know ( naughty )
Doing back2back Mon/Tues as I've a water park day booked for tomorrow!!! yes I'm getting very brave and getting into a swim cozie again, knowing I don't look good but certainly better than this time last year, my friend that I'm going with has joined me with 5:2 few weeks ago so were decided to fast tomorrow while we've got a full day planned and plenty of bottled
water on hand.
I've reluctantly joined the latest challenge but set my goal quite low because my weightloss has slowed down for whatever reason my aim to lose 7lbs should be doable we shall see, otherwise feeling on a high, with the sun shining once again I'm off out into the garden to do a few chores then move onto the ironing all to keep me occupied and busy on my fastday. ❇

Hi Fasting buddies :like: :clover:
@gillymary@daydreamer21 &@jools7
Welcome back Jools well at least I thought I'd read that you're back how did the exam and everything
go for you?

Right so last weeks scale day ended up Thurs and I'd recorded the same weight but Mon scale tale for the challenge was actually up over 1kg!!!
Did 4:3 had quite a good week (bit naughty Weds)
My weigh-in today is 300grams up on last Thurs I'm calling that a success as its certainly down from Mon and I need to keep my motivation up for the weekend because I'm obviously overeating at weekends.

How are things for you gillymary? You seem to have your mojo back regarding your fastdays.
Sammy so nice to hear from you we were all very concerned about your health, glad you've had a better week and managed fasting despite the medication etc.
not long now for you regarding work the you can relax more and enjoy your time with Jammie.

hello,@gillymary, @sue.q and @daydreamer21. Thanks so much, esp Gilly & Sue, for holding the fort while I was up north.

Well, my exam was pretty cool, I got to hint at a few subjects I wanted to discuss AND the examiner picked them up - that always makes me feel slightly cheeky, I have to say, but it was a really good experience, I got to show what I know, and my examiner said I obviously have a passion and a talent for conflict facilitation - I just smiled, I didn't really think so till now! I did have fun. Just two more to go before I'm a phase 2 student, where the study is mostly experiential, which suits me.

Managed to swim every morning except the one of my exam. The last day was pretty cold with the wind and no sun, I had to run up the beach to our apartment and was pretty numb by the time I got there. But also managed lots of beach jogs just about every day, so I got some exercise in. Also got a couple of great photos of the sun rising from wednesday morning, anyone know how to get them the right size to upload them?

Great to hear your fasting is going well, Gilly. And Sue, those back-to-backs are very inspiring! I have mostly been 18:6 on my fast days, since we ate out every night, so hard to keep track of the cals. Never mind, back on for tomorrow, too cold & windy & wintery to ride my bike over the weekend, I'll do some HIIT and some more of my BASes. gotta love the tax man!!
 nice to have at least 4 of us posting in a few days, that's a bit of a record. I am going well. Fingers crossed when I say that. @Sue.Q I have been fasting more probably 5:2 at max. Think I have reached a point where I will sit around there. I am fluid fasting until the evening meal that way I get to share a meal with My DH and get an extended fast in as well so it might be like a 5 hour window. Just seem to fall off the wagon at end of the day. It's not far to fall usually about 7pm. Makes me think evening meal is in order.

Hang in there sue you can do this and enjoy your weekend

I believe for me go gently is my modus operandi. This mean my way forward will be just maintain. Have found that my weight creeps up if I don't fast. Love my food but also love my fasting. So I am maintaining with guide of daily weighing and fasting as needed. Am on a teaching break still lots of next semester prep being done at home which is my favourite place to fast. The fasting energy boost is great for brain work

@jools7 welcome back, what beach were you running on as I am originally a Queenslander. Congrats on your good exam experiences and all the best. Gotta love the tax man. Am just about to do my end of year financial records and get ready for the accountant. Best of luck with yours

.@daydreamer21 hope you are going ok there dear Sammy, roll on holidays with your beloved

Hello ladies :)
I hope you have all had a good week. I am so glad it is Friday, it's felt like a very long week. Pain wise it has been one of my better weeks, just a few aches and pains, but I'm finding it really hard to wake up from my tablets so I'm really looking forward to my lie in tomorrow. I have been good with my fasts this week, I've been making tabbouleh using quinoa and it's been amazing. It's having a positive effect on my weight, I've finally lost a full 6 stone in total! Only 4 stone more to go until I'll been content and can go into maintenance.
