The temperature dropped to a chilly -2*C last night and had risen to 0*C when I walked out at 9am.
The park was looking gorgeous, iced grounded leaves sparkling in the low bright sunshine like free jewels on a shining path.
30 minutes walking was enough and warmed me up nicely and ready for breakfast!
Have a happy day wherever you are, whatever you're doing folks :0)

It's DO it day. Xmas shopping I mean, which will involve walking in town and seeing the lights on Oxford Street.
@Isis good luck on Monday, have you had a vein injected before? I remember my Mum walking each day after her treatment. Where will you walk?
Anyone else walking today?

Azureblue ...... it poured with rain here this morning too. Luckily I had a dry shop this pm. 3022 steps shop from home to M&S in Oxford Street (care of a bus and one tube ride), 2 hours browsing and buying. I'll buy the rest on line apart from small treats I see at local shops en route over the next week or so.
I'm looking forward to walking in the countryside over the hols

It's pretty cold outside but my fury friend doesn't care and will push me again today to go for walks, no excuses admitted  Yesterday we went for 3 walks, 30 minutes each and not slow walks, believe me, I didn't know a dog that small could walk that fast    Happy is the best motivator ever to go move my butt

The weather turning into something a lot less user friendly for walking, plus other excuses for not getting through the front door quite so regularly. *sighs*
I do miss it if life conspires against for a few days.
It's 90% my head stopping me really ...

Slowly slowly, gently gently, make my feet go out the door to light

Yes, just saw an item on the Tasmanian news about the storms about to hit Britain. OH NO! All my forum friends over there! No walking in the storm people!

Hello Lizbean. This is the first time I have had my varicose veins treated & thank you it was very good & only slightly uncomfortable. The Doctor advised just using my legs either walking or cycling so I initially went for a twenty minute walk in the roads near the surgery but I will probably cycle more on my exercise bike & also be a fair weather walker around the village. However after Christmas when my OH stops work & finally retires we will join in the regular health walks that are run in my area. I'm sure this will be much more fun walking in a group & seeing the countryside near us in West Sussex.

In 1h30 I'll go for my big walk with Happy but I am not motivated at all. I am exhausted, barely slept last night and to go for an 1h walk is the last thing I want right now......

I'm from Sussex @Isis, I lived in the Brighton area until we moved to Cornwall. I love West Sussex and have many happy memories of walking on the South Downs Way and other walks in many places in Sussex - East and West. I do miss it but my husband isn't well enough to travel far so we just potter around North Cornwall (which is also lovely).

I'm hoping to get out on Boxing Day. Have a new app on my phone for learning Italian, and don't have the weather or the light excuse, and I'm over my cold. So Boxing Day, I'm out walking!
