I started the thread but didn't get any takers. The main problem for me is I need the money I can make from selling on ebay. Anything that isn't good enough for ebay is too badly worn to consider anything other than the bin.

OOOh1 nice photo.
Looks like you have a lovely view @CandiceMarie
Away on holiday so no decluttering happening except to throw away cake boxes
Since you started it with the Christmas decs - the nights start drawing in on Saturday how did that happen so fast?

My idea of heaven @AnnieW throwing away empty cake boxes with a tum full of cake!
I can't bear to think of the nights drawing in where has this year gone? We are as near next xmas as we are far away from last!
Enjoy yr hoL Annie xx!

We haven't had a summer yet, its horrid. I've only worn my shorts 3 times so far this year. I normally start wearing them in February, March at the latest, but not this year. Its nearly the Summer Solstice and the temeprature was only 16c all day here. Brrrr!
According to the forecast it will be 18C tomorrow and could even be 21C on Wednesday. Whoop de do. then it will rain for 3 days and cool back down. I really, really hate British weather.

Just sorted out about 3 dozen orchids which had been 'hibernating' in my Mum's garden office - discarding, cutting out dead stalks, repotting etc., and then rearranging so they get more light. Does that count??
Yes! Deffo counts SD! X good work! X
I put a pair of perfectly good but surplus to requirements sandwich cake tins in the charity bag this afternoon. They had sloping sides and fixed bottoms and I much prefer my straight sided, loose bottom tins.
Those tins sound a bit like me @Winsome..
Sloping sides ( they slope outwards! ) and a fixed bottom ( the fat is fixed very firmly indeed!) X

Three bags of clothes and a box of bits are loaded in to the car, ready to be dropped off tomorrow!
To be honest two of the bags had been sorted months ago, but had never made it to the charity shop. And this is where I further confess that I have just rescued something out of one of them.....
I'm sure I'm not the only one to have ever done that?!

@Annurca altho i' m a longterm dedicated declutterer( coz it makes me feel like ive lost weight)! I too have been known to open a bag and retrieve an item before going to the charity shop! X
I kept seeing this thread pop up and never looked in until now. I used to suffer from CHAOS: Cant Have Anyone Over Syndrome due to the clutter and overwhelming debris that seems to follow kids. Then I discovered http://flylady.net and I have never looked back. It took me about 6 months to really get on top of it, but now I'm in the zone and it really works.
Love yr new avatar@scubachick x!
This is hard!
I've managed to bag up one pile of unwanted clothes, some of them I bought soon after I started losing weight, worn once or twice (some not worn at all) and then I lost more weight, some I've had for years and never worn, way too big for me now.
I was very pleased with myself, that lot is definitely going!
Then I thought I would sort out some skirts which have been hanging in the back of the wardrobe for many years, they still fit me but look awful, I was going to add them to the charity shop pile but then thought "I can make some pretty tops out of that material", so I took them out of the bag. I haven't done any sewing for a long, long time, will I really do it now? ...or will they just clog up the wardrobe again? Will this be the start of something good? I used to do a lot of sewing when my children were young, they are in their 40s now.
I have an old raincoat unworn for years but still in good condition, should I add it to the charity pile? Thoughts swirling around my mind - I could make a couple of shopping bags out of that.....
Questions, questions. My problem is that I dither too much, I've always been a ditherer (is that a word?).
