I bagged up my larger bras today and put them in the oxfam clothing bank by the supermarket.
I have also put some more clothes in the recycle bag that goes in the bin collection wednesday.
I took a bag of skirts, tops and some of OH's trousers to the charity shop today. Came back with one skirt, a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. On balance a reduction in clutter!
Fasting today so in line with my pledge to get rid of something every fast day ( other than fat of course) I have put in a bag....3 skirts, ( too big/ wrong style), 3 Tshirts ( too big), a dressing gown ( I still have another 3) and a velour hooded top I am now far too old for! They are waiting by the door until I go out this afternoon. I have to pass through our village so will put it in the charity bin.
Listing on ebay today, so some things are being de-cluttered. I will be diving into my jumper drawer later as I have a 'sloppy joe' jumper in there that was baggy on me when i was at my heaviest. So that is going, plus some of the others as i am hoping that they will all be way to big when I actually need them.
I wore a skirt yesterday that I bought two years ago I think. Never worn it and now it is too big. I was in danger of it dropping round my ankles, so that and a pair of beige linen trousers now also too big have gone. I am trying to stick to my pledge of chucking something on a fast day and I am fasting today. Addictive in here isn't it?
@Wendy Darling it IS addictive! I am by nature a declutterer anyway, but after reading on here, i have to stop myself from hurling practically everything out of the window!
I had to purge my 'painting clothes' bag today. My old size 16 jeans, XL t-shirts... All gone. Instead of which I today wore a pair of leggings which were too tight this last winter and now fit nicely, and commandeered one of hubby's older work shirts to wear with them. Funnily enough I've had two compliments today, go figure :victory:
Go figure..it's YOUR figure causing those compliments@Winsome ! X
Don't have a lot in the way of clothes but some of what was in the wardrobe just won't do any more as it's too big. A couple of things are just plain unflattering.
off they go! No charity shops as such here but I have seen green skips to take clothing. Not sure where it goes...that's where mine will go.
Beloved has also put out a couple of pairs of jeans, bought too big but a bit bigger now! And a shirt with double cuffs that just doesn't sit properly.
Kitchen press full of Diving Daughter's tea put into a bag to take to her in her new wee apartment. I'll try and get her a pretty teapot to make it in. Ooooh , I feel a trip to Daiso , my favouritest shop in the whole world , coming on....:)
Am out today drooling over performance cars, a once a year treat. I pledge to fill a bag with unwanted clothes to go in the charity bin at some point today. And I am fasting!
Well I've made a start! I cleared out bathroom bottles and jars which were out of date, into the bin they go.

Just a small start which I hope will lead to an avalanche of clearing.

I have a small pile of unwanted clothes which I sorted out a few months ago, I'm going to add more and more until I have enough to fill a bin liner and take it to a charity shop - and then start another pile - then another....

This is going to be fun.
Go for it@coffeetime! X
and the press in the bathroom got sorted. All the wee bottles from hotels separated and set in a manner that makes using them easier.
The eye stuff is all sitting together optimistically waiting to be put out if the surgery has been successful too.
And all before going out to a wedding.
*feeling virtuous*
I've just (gulp) chucked my size 14 jeans into a charity shop bag. There is NO going back now. No keeping stuff just in case I ever get fat again.

I also filled the rest of the bag with various too-big stuff. My wardrobe is looking sparse and on balance, most of what is in there is pretty old but therein lies the moral of buying what suits you and that you will happily wear year after year regardless of 'fashion'

I've decided that what I have will see me out this summer with a bit of belting in, then when I unpack my autumn clothes most will be chucked out. They've earned their keep over the years.
In the bag...another dressing gown, a skirt, two jumpers and two cardigans. All wrong so off to charity.
