Husband tends to fast every now and then too - we both started 5:2 last Jan and he lost 2 stone and has kept it off, so he is more a "as and when" faster!

Must say, I enjoyed my breakfast of bacon and eggs this morning!

TBrewerton wrote: I am usually totally fine with fast days but yesterday was a public holiday and for the whole day I put up with her grazing food next to me and then for her to turn around and ask me to cook her "separate" dinner - I flipped off the wall..

During a fast day I usually have the same as her but she might add some roast vegie etc which I will leave out - I don't mind cooking the stuff I will be eating plus her serving but to also cook the extra food she is having I find too hard - it just adds way to much temptation.

I said to her "If a had a gambling addiction would you take me into a casino and ask me to hold your coins while you feed a slot machine.."

hahaha

Get the feeling you're fed up Tim..
I've popped in here to see how you ADF 's are doing.?

Its a feast day (well was its just past midnight so fast again now) but yes due to if being a feast day I was very well fed up :-D @carieoates

But nah I think on my last fast day I was just very over tired after such a big and exciting day on the Wednesday. Then being over tired made me very intolerant. Mental note get a good night sleep before fast days... Crap not of to a good start hehehe

It is Saturday tomorrow though so you can have a lie in? Unlike me who will be at her desk at 6am as usual :frown: Are you fasting tomorrow? I am, no point in giving up now! It will be interesting if it makes a difference over the next couple of days. I am nibbling orange and geranium dark chocolate at the moment, very tasty!

Yea I will be fasting - gonna stick at this for as long as I can as the eating side of it seems to be becoming a breeze.

Going to visit some family tomorrow for my nieces birthday. That will be a good test as I don't plan to break the fast for it. It will be an interesting day.

Enjoy the chocolate while you still have a few hours left!

I have seen some pics of my in laws in Auckland - at least you have some sunshine. ☀️ @TBrewerton

Well @DebsI am in the daily weighers, and blah blah blah eating window, with a big fat dash of the 5.2 tent. Yes 5.2. It works for me, I'm eating full fat yoghurt, carbs when I want, which isn't too many by choice, I had two glasses of red last night and fajitas - it was Thursday - gasp.

Since returning to (nearly) my routine, of work, 5.2, 16.8 and exercise, things have started shifting again. :victory:

Congratulations BG!

I'm fasting today.

Interestingly, I'm lighter than yesterday BUT that was weighing quite late in the morning after a lie-in - when I got up at 06:30 and weighed myself before going back to bed, I was 1lb heavier! Goes to prove what was being said in the daily weighing thread.

In any event, I'm still .8lb up on the lowest I've been since doing ADF, so I'm a bit glum. Hanging in here though as its really suiting me eating wise. I confess to having eaten more ready meals in the last two weeks or so than in the last ten years, but they ARE good ones...

Don't think I'm suddenly going to drop 3 lbs overnight to get under 12st for my birthday tomorrow LOL.

Er, I'm having the weekend off (due to special occasions etc.) and starting ADF again on Monday. In fact, it's ADF with a vengeance because not only am I fasting EOD but I'm also cutting out puddings AND (drum roll please) I'm abstaining from chocolate until Easter Day!!

I'm hoping on getting great results after all this :frown:

Bean :starving:
