No chocolate bean?????? Much too drastic IMHO!! Three days was quite enough!!
I think simplicity is the key, well done carieoates that your weight is still falling. Fasting again today for me after eating for victory yesterday, and I felt blurgh afterwards.
Onwards and upwards BG666 - it WILL happen!

You are all doing really well! That must be hard working 21 days straight in a row Debs. How many days do you have back at home ? Not long to go now I hope.

See, I could (and frequently do) go without chocolate for weeks on end. I like it, but I rarely crave it. Cheese is a whole other scenario! Two days without cheese and I'm twitching

Having said that I can easily go without chocolate, I DO love chocolate cake or puddings and find those harder to resist. So, please be impressed that for the last two fast days I have withstood my children first baking a chocolate cake and then filling it with chocolate ganache buttercream before decorating  I did NOT lick the mixing bowl or taste the ganache, despite having to help with both processes. I am SO looking forward to actually eating it tomorrow :starving:

Champagne and pain au chocolat for breakfast tomorrow

You are a brave woman winsome!! My hubby is like that with cheese too! Must admit my face would be in the bowl smeared with chocolate mix if that was me, and fighting off all comers

@julianna, I am flying home on Monday thank goodness. It is a while since I have done a three week shift and I am absolutely exhausted!

Hi Debs, do you have a "If in doubt, brew up" tent? - copious cuppas of strong builders tea with a dash of milk has kept me going on fast and non fast days, through those grrh hunger moments. I've been able to switch - cut the coffee that makes me hungry and in place have refreshing tea  . Works for me. If there is no tea tent, I'll go to the short tent  I need to read back a few days on your ADF tent journey  to catch up where you are. Lizzie

well done, winsome. actively resisting temptations is the hardest thing (as opposed to passively resisting them by avoiding them). I've baked cakes on fast days before, but they were cakes with fruit inside, so I could sneak a bit of fruit.

I resisted birthday cake yesterday, but it felt a little rude. It will be easier to make sure birthdays are scheduled on non-fast days when they're not trying to surprise me.

Hi there @lizbean, no relation to nursebean I presume!!!!

Ah yes, the power of tea!!!!! Can't beat it can you?!! I need my three mugs of strong brew to get me going in the morning or I am fit for nothing . I like coffee but only a really high quality one from a fancy pants barrista in Melbourne or Hobart!

We order 10kg of English Beakfast at a time from a bulk importer in Perth, it lasts about 12 months. I bring some with me and have a nifty mini strainer I use, or Twinings Assam Bold which is a decent brew too. None of this Liptons or Bushells rubbish

How about a 'Short if in doubt brew up tent'?!

Well today is a fast day... I started only 200 grams up on yesterday which was a great kick off to the day!

I ended up going to my brothers house for my nieces birthday - they weren't going to do a big party so I thought it would be ok but then his whole wifes family ended up coming and threw a huge party so loads of cake and party treats! I must admit it was hard but I did the whole day! Just got home and had my 500cals and might do an early night as am still quite hungry :-(

Well done, you were very strong by the sounds of it!!! Thta is good news when you only go up a little bit! I was up 1kg this morning after my glutton day so I am fasting again today. We shall see if the three days made a difference!

Oh my word Tim, that is SO impressive! Well done you

I know I shouldn't really be in here today because I'm not fasting again until Monday...but my spirit is always in the ADF tent.

Carry on with the good work!

Within 500grams of my lowest weight while doing 5.2 - it took 6 weeks of 5.2 to get there and so far only 3 weeks of ADF so I am happy.

Great stuff Tim :like:

BadGirl, thank you  LOVELY, lovely day of celebrations yesterday. The main event being lunch at my favourite restaurant - always stunning food and service to match. I got completely and utterly spoiled by family and friends.

There were a few tears at one point, but good ones! My lovely husband had arranged for my big brother and his wife to come over from Germany, and I had no idea at all.

AND

After much deliberation, I wore an extremely figure-hugging, bright orangey-red dress (with a plum cropped cardi that clashed delightfully) and got SO many compliments! I wouldn't have been able to get in it let alone have the confidence to wear it without the ADF. The 'will conceal any flaws' safe LBD got pushed to the back of the wardrobe.

ADF ROCKS!

I'm giving myself today off because I can, but actually fasting Monday fits in with us being out again on Saturday anyway.

Oh Winsome, sorry I didn't realise it was your birthday too :frown:

I'm glad you had what sounded like a really nice day! Good meals always help I find  I'm really glad ADF is working so well for you!
