LOL!

So far so good actually. I've had half an apple, some almonds and a couple of sticks of celery plus heaps of tea and I'm feeling much better than I did last week.

I gave my body a full week off fasting, ate breakfast every day and enjoyed it and while I didn't lose weight, I didn't gain. I'm hoping that the week off will have reset things a bit and I'll start dropping again.

Good! Keep me posted, I am about to do the same thing so I'll be interested to see how you go this week.

This week is T Th Sat for me. I think I'm out of sync with everyone else… (also, since I usually 4:3 on MWF or MWSat, eating today feels very strange)

Good morning campers :sleepy:

Back to fasting today after my weekend off. Bean, I believe that keeps us in synch :like:

I'm a bit gobsmacked that the scales are 3lbs up this morning. Saturday was indulgent but yesterday was pretty reasonable - home made soup for lunch, hairy dieters sweet and sour chicken for dinner, and only a couple of snacks - with a 6.5 km run thrown in as well (and I did 30 minutes on the rowing machine on Saturday too) :curse:

We shall see what the week brings...

Oh @Winsome I love you!! I was going to have to enter this tent this morning with a red face and my tail (er I mean stalk) between my legs, but it sounds as though the same thing has happened to you! All I have done is have a few days off (well it was birthday week) where I just ate what I wanted (which wasn't an AWFUL lot) and I've put on 4 pounds. So now I am at the same weight I was when I started this back in October

Anyway, I have emerged this morning with renewed vigour and am DETERMINED to shift this weight and reach my Easter goal by, er, Easter! I may even write a bean blog to get me going!

Let the Fast Day commence and ADF? Bean is BACK!!

Bean

Blimus where IS everyone in the ADF tent today?

Anyway, just checked in (what an echo!) to report that I've had a really good fast day today. No hunger pangs and just stuck to my allotted meal...which I have to say was the most delicious four cheese ravioli from M&S. Mmm it even had Mozzarella in it which has to be one of my fave cheeses.

So far so good

Bean

Fast went out of the window due to hospital/circumstances today.
I managed 850 cals, but should I fast tomorrow as well?

@Debs There is no way I would recommend you do that. From what I understand you did the three days followed by one feast then one fast and then stopped adf for your break.

Looking at the graph you posted after the three days I would say it worked fine - and think you are over thinking it or have too high expectations. If the line is heading downwards however slow its still progress.

Krista's advice is if your weight has completely stalled and is not moving at all - I would say from your graph you have movement and would just need to keep with the fast days...

I understand you are having a well deserved break - but before trying something that drastic I would suggest you just get back into the swing of it and see how it all goes.

On another note - yesterday was the first day of my takeaway meals week and a fast day - it was a VERY long day as the road got closed for about 3 hours due to a serious crash and so I ended up working till about 9.30pm (left home at 7am) on a fast day that was pretty hard! But I managed to pull it off and am now looking forward to my breakfast!

Penny, I don't think I would. Maybe have a 'light' day but it would feel like back to back fasts otherwise. Sometimes life just happens.

Incidentally, one of the things I've noticed about ADF is that it suits me not to fast on fixed days. I got far too prone to rearranging days when I was doing 5:2

If i were you Penny, i would take it that 850 cals is good nuff for a fast day...not for every fast day but no harm done here or there..i think you've done great! :like:
OR maybe if its been a diificult day coz of hospital..enjoy a nice larger dindins tonight and fast tomorrow x
I best get out of this tent..i have never ADF'd in my entire life!

I could be wrong, but I think debs meant that she was joining in on the week off, not on a long fast session...

Well done Tim. That's a tough day, but doesn't it make you feel good when you smash through one of those? :like:

Tim? You are so strong willed...well done!

@PennyForthem hope you're ok. Don't bother fasting tomorrow. Treat today as one. I mean, you're at goal anyway aren't you?

As for KV's advice on fasting extra days in a row. I'm a bit confused. I thought the longer you fasted the slower your metabolism...hence the feast days in between. Surely if you fast, say 3 days in a row it defeats the whole object of the fasting method.

Hmm will have to go away in my pod and ponder

Bean  :starving:
