I hate being away from my scales too.

We are going to Florida in the summer, for two weeks. I've already had a panic!

@Winsome couldn't you pack a special "scales bag" with you?!

Well I feel much better today. The scales showed mercy and after just one day back on the fasting saddle I am already 3 lbs lighter. Obviously, it'll go up again tomorrow but....

BEAN IS BACK!

Ooh, my little Bean-y fasting buddy, me too! Not quite 3lbs down, but nearly :like:

Horrible soggy run again this morning. Thankfully it's an easier week for a bit of a rest - only 25 minutes. Have now made tea and am about to warm up in the shower. Bring on spring!

Hi peeps, just popping in to cheer you all on! Well done beanlet and winsome, sounds like it is going well for you.
Nope Tim, a few days off, I am not doing five in a row, that's just silliness personified!

Are you enjoying your "time out" @Debs ? It's been strange in this tent without you.

@Winsome - have to ask...is a soggy run in the rain, preferable to running on a hot day? I imagine it would be quite refreshing in the rain, but then your clothes must get heavy I spose

Bean

Well done bean and winsome!
Know what you mean about being without the scales - and Florida is the home of the 'eat all you can' meal. I'm sure you have the techniques to cope though, winsome - enjoy a fab holiday!

@ Bean, yes, I would far rather run in the rain than the heat. I get red faced in either event, but for a start, there are less people walking their dogs along the sea front to see it, when it's raining

The big problem here is the wind. There is almost always a prevailing northerly wind, but at this time of year it is particularly vicious. As one runner at our local parkrun put it once "it's like trying to run through treacle" :dazed:

I'm off to make sugar valentines hearts with my afterschool club now

Hello all, just checking that you are all behaving yourselves in here. I am enjoying being let off the leash although I don't have a huge appetite which I guess isn't a bad thing.

Just sat outside in the sun listening to the birds and frogs having afternoon tea, us, not the birds and frogs! They are just making a noise! So much more pleasant and mild here than Port Hedland which is sticky and baking hot. Off to have my hair done tomorrow and to get my cholesterol test which I am going to be very interested in.

Good luck one and all!

Glad you are not being a stranger Debs. Firstly because its nice to have your company, and secondly, I think that not straying too far from the safety of the tent will make it easier for you to get back into the plan when you've had your break.

No chance of that, this website is too addictive! I'm sure there is a name for this condition! Just had a first apple from our little tree, a Cornish Beauty, old English variety, very nice.
I shall get back into it without too much trouble I think, I really want to make a dent in things before we go on holiday at the end of May. Florida will be fun. Doing all the attractions?!

Florida... Yes, that's the plan, although with plenty of rest days. There are eight of us going, friends and family, so we've rented a big villa with a pool and games room. The children are so excited!

Three weeks today since I started ADF.

Cut my travel short and came home - cant wait to weigh in, in the morning!

I'm still not losing anything, even on ADF. My body seems to really love 64kg. I'll stick with it until my ski holiday on the 21st.

Morning my fellow ADFers! Hope I find you all well!
I laughed @Debs at the thought of you watching the birds and frogs having tea!!

Well today is a fast day so I have nothing but a delicious (hopefully) fish pie from M&S to look forward to this evening!

Look forward to hearing what those scales said to you Tim...good luck!

Bean :starving:
