Well it's exactly 2 weeks of ADF for me and if I used yesterday's weight, I had lost 4.4 pounds :victory: but today I have gained half of that back again (2.2 lb) :curse:
OVERNIGHT ! :?:

What's going on!!! I added up my calories from yesterday it was not excessive, maybe 2000. But I looked at my carb count and it was about 150 which is too high to lose weight.

So I am leaving you great folks here in the ADF tent and wandering over to the Low Carb Tent to see if that's the key to getting back on track. I have been on a plateau since Christmas. I am fasting today and back on 5:2.
That is the great thing about this forum; always a different way to try this weight loss journey and always great people to give advice and support however you want to do it :like:
Good luck all :clover:  :clover:

Oh @judithn you're not alone there! My weight goes up and down 2lb every day. Just as well I'm not in any great hurry to lose weight isn't it!

Good luck in the low carb tent. I may have to join you as I've just discovered I seem to be on high carbs meself...hey ho!

Bean :starving:

Tim where have you been? The fitbit leaderboard needs you. I hope your ADF has done better than your steps.

Steps have been terrible but weight is still dropping so that's ok. Last week and a half has been very busy with work - loads of meetings and huge amounts of travel in the car...

Todays weigh in 85.7kg so I am down another 400 grams. I love this way of life!

That's great Tim. That's what we are all here for.

Way to go Tim! :like:

I wish I could say my weight was dropping as quickly as yours, but you are certainly giving me faith in the feast/fast plan, and so I will keep on going.

I've had a day of feeling a bit rough and was soooo cold that I caved in and ate a hot lunch at 2pm. I had enough calories left for a crispbread with marmite and a small pile of salad leaves this evening, and actually, I haven't felt hungry. That's possibly the feeling rough though.

Think I might swap my scheduled run for a session on the rowing machine tomorrow - its a tad fresh out there

Yea as much as I want to get much fitter as well. I think that will become easier as I get lighter.

The thing that I am really happy about is that I haven't dropped the diet when work got busy - that happened very quickly with 5.2 due to the lack of structure. On ADF/EOD I find it so much easier knowing every second day IS a fast day.

With 5.2 I was much more prone to shifting days around to what suited best. I am going to try and stick with EOD until I hit target weight and then go to Krista's maintenance plan. I may go to maintenance for a couple of weeks when I hit my half way mark too which is only 5.7 KG away.

But my ultimate plan is to continue on with this for the long haul.

Same old numbers on the scales this morning - I admit I'm frustrated by that. HOWEVER...

My running tights keep slipping down, no matter how much I tighten the drawstring, and I'm doing up my bras on a tighter hook

I'm currently 9lbs over my SW target weight (reached Feb 2012) 14lbs over my historic 'ideal' weight (last seen July 2003) and 22lbs over the top of the bmi healthy range for my height (5'4") - which I have never been near in my teen/adult life

If I lost 1lb a week on average, I would be in the healthy bmi range before our summer holiday. If I got that low I wouldn't have a single article of clothing that fit, but I'm told the clothes shopping in the USA is good... I plan to travel with an empty suitcase!

I've dropped another pound to just over 146lbs. Strange, 'cos yesterday I ate like a little porker and didn't do any exercise. Even moved the scales and got on them twice to check!
Aiming for 40 minutes on my Dreadthrill later.

@winsome good plan re the summer hols!!

Tim, good going, there!

Just for reference, is there anybody other than myself and Tim doing ADF and NOT counting carbs/any other form of restriction? Not that I have any issue with folk doing anything they do, it's just helpful to know who I can compare this particular journey with, IYSWIM....

Hello

I don't count calories on feed days, although I have reduced the amount of carsb I eat. Namely I have binned the pasta and pots (I have sweets pots instead). I still have bread a couple of times a week and rice a few times a week, and will still have the odd portion of chips maybe a couple of times a month.
Obviously goes without saying that cakes etc still feature fairly regularly!

Since doing my week of ADF I have found that my appetite is reduced, and I have no doubt that ADF will be a regular thing for me now.

Ok so I was so shocked with my scales for the first time since starting ADF/EOD...

This morning is the day after feast day so I expect to see a slightly higher number... but this...!

I know I was pretty bad with my eating yesterday.. A couple bowls of icecream loads of yoghurt and junk food. Big dinner etc...

This morning I weigh... Wait for it...

85.3 - I lost another 400g!

I don't get it hahaha and yes this whole post is sarcastic I am excited lol

This officially puts me at the lightest weigh in since starting 5.2 in Aug last year.
