How far are you from your ideal weight Tim? Just wondered if you're nearly there, hence the slow down, although you've been doing brilliantly haven't you.

@Winsome your poor hubby, he must be ABSOLUTELY exhausted at the end of his working day. Does he have to commute for long? Good luck at baby group!

Well my fast day is almost over. I've had my four cheese ravioli with 4 sprouts and even had enough calories to spare...so I had half an orange

Now I'm off to watch House of Cards...so good!

3.8kg off my interim goal. As far as ideal weight goes I really don't know I think I could probably do with another 15kg after that.

I think rather than bmi I am going to focus on my waist to height ratio. As bmi can be a little off sometimes in guys due to muscle mass.

Also the slow down could be due to the huge amount of travel and office work I have been doing the last two weeks - which has reduced my exercise levels.

Bit of everything I think

Actually, I think you'll find that fasting every other day is actually a lot easier than 5:2 because you find you always look forward to tomorrow. If I didn't have tomorrow to cling to, I don't know WHAT I'd do!

Yesterday marked five weeks since I started ADF. Last week was just 5:2 due to socialising.

When I started, my scales were lingering around 12st 8-9, and had been for a while.

I'm now seeing 12st 0 and even 11st 13 on that little screen :like:

This is without any kind of calorie or food type restriction on feast days. I have eaten and drunk everything I wanted to, be it chocolate, bread, wine or cheese.

With the exception of Tuesday, when I gorged myself on home made bread and butter to the extent that I had a tummy ache that evening, I can honestly say I haven't felt that I've 'over-eaten' on my feast days. I don't feel the need; every other day I can have everything I want and that's such a liberating feeling.

A typical feast day menu (today's in fact)

Two small slices of white toast (last of the no-knead loaf) with butter and cheese.
Several white coffees and teas, one with a tsp sugar.
Latte with one sugar and a piece of flourless chocolate cake with clotted cream.
A bowl of home made vegetable soup.
Some dark chocolate, maybe 50g. I haven't measured.
Risotto and a side salad - I pack a lot of veg into my risotto.
1/2 fresh mango and home made blood orange ice cream.
Two glasses of wine.

I    ADF.

Well done @Winsome you are a wonderful advert for ADFing. Have you, like me, found it pretty darn easy too? I love this way of eating and, like you, enjoy my feast days to the full!

The key to making it work is find a comfortable strategy that works for you. Good job.

Hey @Nursebean, I've been wanting to ask: Is the bean in your avatar using a cane or carrying a whip?

Yup love this WOE too! I am not limiting feast days either, I think that defeats my purpose of it being a sustainable diet.

I love it every week - week 1/2 seeing a new KG figure flash on my screen!

Well my tracker doesn't show it but its official - I have lost 10kg since Christmas!

Some of you knew I was taking a 10kg challenge through a local sports shop - that target is still 4kg away but to know I have lost that much in total since my heaviest is awesome!
