I am a bit stuck now too @Debs, although been doing ADF since my friends left. I think it's a dreaded plateau.

HI @Debs You sound flat. Stick with it - you have alot going on.

Hi there @rawkaren, flat sums it up perfectly. I have taken on an enormous task. I don't feel up to currently. Maybe when I have a better idea of what is going on it will help but I feel completely overwhelmed at the moment.
But I have bought some coconut oil and am determined to have a bullet proof coffee tomorrow!

Oh @Debs hope you'll soon be on top of things. I guess it takes time getting used to a new job with more responsibility. Are you enjoying it, though?

I think my weight loss spree is winding down a little. Its still heading in the right direction but I guess sometimes I want it to go a bit more rapidly! I think buying a new dress yesterday and then trying it on when I got home has knocked me rather a lot. Boy did I look frumpy! My boobs are humungus! Sob! Anyway, I guess it was the fault of the dress. Ive now gone and bought a dress from Boden (which I got at a cheaper price on Ebay) so I'm hoping I'll feel better in that...who knows!

Don't be overwhelmed. I'm with you, having also done the new job new country bit. (and struggling to fast). How do you cope going home and then going back? I'm dreading going back next week. It will feel like I'm starting again I'm sure. Any advice for me @debs?

Hugs @Debs

Sorry I've not been about much. We had guests at the weekend (two non-fast days) then yesterday (fasting) I spent all day baking gluten-free chocolate cakes for my last sugarcraft class of the term. Despite it being aaaages till easter, they begged me to make an easter cake with them, and, well, I'm a sucker  I've spent two days prepping in total and I don't get paid, only expenses covered. They are cute little devils though, and who knows; I could be setting someone on a career path

I'm not teaching in the summer term (too warm and kids want to be outside then) but hopefully will do classes again from September. Lots of sugary stuff going on though, so I'm glad I'm not going to be trying to fit classes around everything else.

Hi guys, and thank you!
Felt a bit overwhelmed yesterday and also found that I have to fly back to Perth in the afternoon of my last day of shift, so will have to fly overnight back to Melbourne at my own excpense, so a little cheesed off. So much for looking after their staff! They were flying me direct to Melbourne, I wish I'd known before I took the job. Ah well, have to make the best of it.

I have treated myself to a couple of goodies while I am here, a nice bodum individual coffee maker/mug and a new watch as mine has just died (it is 8.30 twice a day  ). A lovely Soviet era style cosmonaut watch. I need a large man's one so I can read the numbers!!!

I was going to have a bullet proof coffee but forgot the butter! But today's fast has been easier.

@rawkaren, I know what you mean. I guess we always make the most of our time off, make it feel like a holiday, make sure we have fun stuff to do and plan for the next break. I am going to book a double massage for us, book a meal at a nice restaurant.

Debs, that seems rather outrageous. What justification have they given for the enforced wrong airport?

Oh poor Debs. Not a good start is it. And Karen...I sympathise with you. It must be very hard to have to go back...when you're enjoying yourself at home. I guess you'll just have to focus on the next break xx

Hi there,
Weasel words on behalf of the HR people, because the flight is a charter flight, I have to go in the afternoon. Trouble is, work is thin on the ground so I can't moan too much. B******ds.

Got through the day ok, having an avocado for dinner which is scrummy, and maybe a small square of dark choccy.
Winsome, glad to see you back; I admire your bravery in the face of all that sugar!!

@Rawkaren and @Debs gosh, you two are having a heavy time of things, hope everything's eases up for you both soon and you can settle into some sort of acceptable routine.

Beanie Bobs, I bet you look fab in your new Boden dress, a photograph would be nice

Thanks @ballerina. OH found out yesterday he has an atrial fibrillation. He went to the docs (under my orders now I'm home), and ended up at the hospital wired up to an ECG. Cardiologist is Monday. Hope to get a proper diagnosis before I go back on Tuesday. Worrying of course especially when we are working so far apart. I'm beginning to wonder how is he coping without me around all of the time

Oh thanks Beanarilla! It hasn't arrived yet, so I'll let you see it (if it's any good  ). Trouble is, I've had a lifetime of dark hair and so I still choose colours that go with dark hair...not sure this will suit me
