Debs wrote: Hi there, mmm chicken curry, lovely! Have temporarily stpped out of the ten while I try to dukan my way out of a rut, trying a mix of glucogen depletion and 19:5. I shal be back but it hasn't worked for me so far

I am leaving the ADF tent too @Debs and I am sorry too it didn't work out for you....back to 4:3 for me, I like it so much better.
Good luck Debs with the Dukan diet or the 16:8 eating window, I really hope that you find something that will really work for you soon. :clover:

 I hope this isn't the start of a mass exodus!

Seriously though, I respect that everybody has to find their own way with the fasting. In truth, I've done more 4:3 weeks than ADF recently, just because of life getting in the way. However, I'm an ADF'er at heart.

Good luck girls!

Of course not, my natural tendency is to keep coming in here on my work shifts, so I'm not saying goodbye, just au revoir!!!

Well, some people might be dipping out, permanently or temporarily, but I'm dipping in! Just finding ADF really easy atm, so why wouldn't I? Just need to sort some more exercise after a big month of family things, my dear Aunt passed away, and I have been up & back to Sydbey for a few times. Now it's just over 2 weeks till I go to Warsaw for a conference, sooo many things to do before then, but I'm refusing (after a few sleepless nights) to stress myself about that, I'll do what I can! Hope I'll get there! I have been eating way over my TDEE on feeding days, so I think it's only ADF that's been stopping me putting on weight. I guess we do our best with what life throws at us! Fasting today, and going well so far.

Happy ADFing, people!

Hang on in there buddie @jools7 Yes you've had a busy and stressful time lately well done on completing ADF
4:3 is the best I can achieve because of my weekend eating habits but as you know its plan eerrmmmm XX this weekend just to put everything to the test, my stomach is rumbling so maybe time for an hour in the garden before a long soak both to ease my old aching body and kill more time before my evening meal can't wait.
Your up coming trip sounding very exciting indeed.

I'm back to ADF after a little break for hanami in Tokyo, followed by my last 10k of the season. I put on 0.2 kg while I was away (that was a post-fast weigh in), so I'm pleased about that. I ate (and drank) well in Tokyo, but didn't crazily overdo it.

I'm going to try to keep up 16:8 on non-fast days, too. But I notice being a bit depleted until I eat, and it's affecting my work, so I might give it up and at least have a miso soup. I'm sure I read somewhere that you're not really breaking your fast if you have less than 50 cals.

@MaryAnn, thanks for the beautiful cherry-blossom picture! It wasn't there the first time I looked! Just the perfect thing to inspire me on my fasting day today - I tried for about 2 hours to fast yesterday, but a major project of mine fell in a heap - along with me & my emotions! Luckily things are now a bit more back on track today, so I'm fasting today instead and so I'll really only be 4:3 this week, but never mind!!

Blimey! I've just realised how long it's bean since I last entered this tent! And I discover everyone's leaving! Well, not everyone. Glad you're sticking with it @Winsome @Maryann and @Jools7. So sorry to hear about your aunt Jools. Sending you hugs xx

Sorry to see you've left us @Debs. Hope Dukan gives you the boost you want. It seems that Tim has left us too. Oh dear. Personally, I LOVE ADF. It's really working for me and I don't think I always stick to my TDEE on feast days either. I can really see myself sticking with this way of fasting for a long time to come. I just find it so easy :)

Have you seen George Osborne lately? He's lost a lot of weight...and he does 5:2 as does Philip Schofield who looks the thinnest alive ever seen him. Fasting is obviously becoming rather popular

Bean xx

Hey there beanpole, not abandoning as I will continue doing ADF when I get back to camp, I was just trying something different as nothing is working at the moment. Sue.Q is doing the same so I hope it works for her. And of course I am REALLY pleased it has worked for you.

I think work has got in the way for Tim at the moment but I'm sure he'll be back.

@candicemarie likewise about Dukan. I was put off by the hideous stories I heard from friends, and by seeing many of them crow about the initial loss and then fail to keep off the weight or worse, pile more back on when they stopped because the regime was too severe. Ditto Lighter Life!

@nursebean I just noticed your weight! Woohoo girlie! :like: You little (quite literally) superstar! I'm so proud of you

My weight isn't going down at the moment but I'm still firmly under 12 stone (11.11 today) it is TOTM and I've had a weekend away, so I'm actually perfectly happy with that. It isn't going up either, so that's ok.

For the first time ever, I'm not fussed about how long the process takes. I'm secure in the knowledge that this is for me. Also, my summer clothes fit and I figure that if they are only too big at the end of the season, that's perfect timing. Actually, some are already loose, but most can be belted in and I'm going to have a go at altering some. I'm inspired by the great British sewing bee!
