Thank you CandiceMarie x

Fasting today. Lunchtime was challenging as I had to prepare a nice picnic lunch; the girls have a visitor. What is it about little triangular sandwiches that makes them look so much more appealing than square ones :?: I woke up hungry too :starving: I had 1/8 of a sandwich made with a small 400g loaf and a sliver of pear. A

I REALLY want to make it through the day and then again on Friday and Sunday. It would be great to have a full week of ADF for the first time in ages.

Better go and do something before I eat my phone!

@Winsome I really admire you. It must be so difficult to fast when you have to prepare food for others. I guess I've got it easy really haven't I! Good luck with your Friday fast xx

Wasn't a great fast yesterday  A nibble of this, a nibble of that. In compensation I ended up just having a large courgette dry-sautéed with some very lean bacon and a tomato for dinner. Bad move, as I was starving in the evening and ended up eating a Ryvita, a piece of cheese and a cream cracker. Then topped it off with a Lindt mini egg. Oh dear.

The moral of the story is: one nibble and you're nobbled  as the advert says!

Tomorrow will be better. Today I have had two breakfasts already as I was up early. Two slices of toast first thing, then Bircher muesli just now. Going out for lunch with MIL (garden centre) and out to dinner with the family later to a very posh Indian restaurant. The food there will be gorgeous and calorific but not big portions and worth every calorie

Yep, know that feeling Winsome! Once you start, that's it sometimes! you are still doing brilliantly though!

Yes, nibbling's not a good idea is it. A couple of times now I've had a Cup A Soup at lunch. Does that defeat the point? Are you really supposed to go as long as you can without eating or is it ok as long as you don't exceed 500 calories? Never really understand this part.

Bean as long as you have a calorie deficit ie 1/4 of TDEE you should lose. I shouldn't worry my buddy, you're doing a great job doing it your way. But I seem to remember that there are other benefits to fasting a longer length of time.

Oh wow! Look at how quiet this tent has bean! Where is everybody?

I have just realised that I have bean on this way of eating for 6 months now, which is an absolute record for me. I haven't always bean on ADF. I started ADF in January, had a small hiccup during my "birthday week" and then have seriously bean on it since Feb 10 when I also gave up chocolate and am aiming to be 10 stone 13 by Easter Sunday. Only a few days to go now (I really can't quite believe it) and I SO hope I actually reach my target this time. I've failed all the others!

Basically, I just wanted to say that ADF is really working for me and I don't feel it requires much effort at all. I just instinctively fast every other day and haven't found it irksome in the least! Now, for the first time in many, many moons, I feel I will actually get to my goal weight of 9 stone 7...and then I may even go lower...who knows!

This way of eating works...it really does

Bean, that is wonderful that you have finally found what works for you! I am well chuffed!!!
And your halfiversary too!!!
Still sticking my noddle in here and about to do a four day of low carb and veg. Wish me luck!!

Debs got me into this tent and you've definitely 'bean' instrumental in keeping me here

I definitely consider myself an ADF-er, just one that doesn't let ADF get in the way of family/social life

I'm feeling pretty pleased at the moment. It's the third week of the holidays and my weight has stayed stable. With the children and their friends around and us out and about, plus my weekend away, that's no mean feat! I've just fasted when I can and not worried about when I can't.

Thanks for that @Debs and @Winsome. So good to see you in here, Debs. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be where I am today! So thank you xx Yes, I guess it is my halfiversary isn't it! Well done Winsome. It must be so hard when temptation is all around you, but you sound as though you've probably bean hectic too have you!

Starting to feel quite hungry now. Am looking forward to my four cheese ravioli!

It's funny, but on a fast day I tend to miss my coffee with milk more than anything and I love feast days because I can have a coffee whenever I feel like it  I was naughty on Sunday because I had a cappuccino out...and didn't bother adding up the calories

Yes indeedy, we've bean busy bees, but also very relaxed and chilled out beans. Lots of enjoying the sunshine and not so much of the rushing around with a grand master plan. It suits us, and with the help of a little to do list each day we are also getting quite a few jobs ticked off as well. DD2 helped me tackle the plastic box cupboard earlier. Mammoth task when it has a double carousel unit full of all the assorted thermos flasks and other little used stuff as well as a plethora of plastic. I cook in bulk a lot so we need quite a lot on hand. We did chuck a load out though. Horrible job. At least of you vacuum behind the sofa you have a hope of finding money

Anyway, I'm the same with the coffee. Also, if I accidentally have a milky coffee, that spoils black coffee for me for the rest of the day. Last fast day, DD1 made me a coffee and forgot that I asked for it black (they think I'm cutting back on dairy a bit for digestive reasons  ) and that was it. Milk in coffee for the rest of the day. I figured it was better than not fasting at all...

Just had some hairy meatloaf with a pile of veggies and a non-spicy tomato sauce because that's how the girls like it. I made double the recipe last time and froze one. It was a cunning plan

Is anyone fasting today from the ADF tent? I am, but am not worried about that. Seem to have a funny stomach today  perhaps I'm getting anxious about the deadline for the Easter Challenge which is looming large! I don't think I'm going to make it now  but never mind, can't complain I guess, although I'll give it a darn good try!

Anyway, thought I'd just pop my head in the door. Hope you're all ok

Bean xxxx
