Hi there,
Glad to hear you got some advice Alexsid, I can get ravenously hungry before bed too, but try to work through it. I don't tend to worry about going to bed hungry, but I hate waking up hungry, knowing I have to get through a whole day fasting. Currently drinking pomegranate tea which is really nice, but also have some hot Marmite up my sleeve too just in case!
I have also introduced a lot more exercise this time round too to see if that will assist with shifting anything, as I have very, very stubborn fat which will not move!
Good luck ,

hi Alexsid...what about trying some yoga exercises for your stomach? I always find it helps me. I am trying to get into the habit of starting the day with a Salute to the Sun and some tummy exercises. Can't do too much because I have to save my energy for the day!

This is my second fast of the week and I feel as though I'm back into the swing of it...but in a fragile way...I could cave at any moment

Hope all is ok with all you other ADFers out there!

Bean xx

Hi peeps,
Still ADFing here and have hit the week (and weak) point at which the carb craving starts kicking in and I get a dry mouth and crave sugar. Having greek yoghurt and pineapple to try and help with the cravings. Pink wee, so fat burning-yay!!

Good to see you're still ADFing @Debs. I was a little bit naughty yesterday and went over my 500 cal allowance. Better than giving up altogether I suppose! Maybe its the time of year that we find ourselves struggling...who knows. Onwards and upwards

Keep up the good work girls :like:

I'm lurking in here as it feels like home, but am not ADF at the moment. We'll see what the next week or two brings though - I may return!

Bean, I don't think it matters too much if its only once in a while that you go over. Better than not fasting at all, for sure.

Quite right Winsome, I am not super strict because I am doing it so much, and I have changed my tactics slightly and eat at lunchtime, having a few more cals possibly but then leaving it until the next day to eat as by the time I get to the evening I can hang on until the next day.
Hope it works this time!

Do you find it easy not eating in the evening? I always find it so difficult once I've eaten at about 5 isn so not to eat from lunchtime must be pretty hard?

Thank you Bean and Debs. Good advice. I think to some it seems odd that I do a 24hr liquids only fast but it works for me, I feel cleansed and don't hold back the day after, I don't cut out any food groups. I know its early days but its working for me so far, 3 lbs lost in last 7 days (probably a lot of fluid) but 1 inch now off my waist. But I have also taken advice from Winsome - downloaded Libra weight tracker. But I'll see what happens, as Carorees said to wait for a month but so far I'm quite cheerful about it!!

Good luck to you Bean. Looking at your stats, I'd love to weigh 10st, am hovering around 12 stone at the moment.

xx

Hi bean,
I have found it easier than expected, cos I know I can eat the next morning if I want to but rarely do. I'll see how I go with it though. I am doing cardio in the evening of a fast day and weights on an eating day. Last night I had bad sugar cravings and had yoghurt and pineapple rings for dinner to try and get through it! I find eating nuts instead do help a bit!

My fingers are too big to hit the "thumbs up" on my phone! haha

I'm back to 4:3ing and ADFing, a bit of a mix, depending on social events.

Oh dear! The ADF tent needs a bit of a boost. I admit I was naughty yesterday and didn't complete my fast...but I'm sure I'll be back on track tomorrow. It should be easier to fast in this hot weather. You just don't feel that hungry...do you?

So, how many of us are still ADFing?

Bean

Me @Nursebean I'm still ADFing quietly on the side lines. I see my waist in the distance which spurs me on :)

Me beanerie,
Although I find I struggle towards the end of my shift as I am eating the same boring salad day after day and the bad carb cravings kick in. By the last of the three weeks, my willpower collapses a bit and I struggle with going to the gym as I get so tired. But nothing like you bean.

@debs was glad to read somewhere you had pineapple and yogurt ( or was it cream) Anyway sounded a lot nicer option than the early morning Marmite! x
