You always impress me Debs @debs and seem to eat like a healthy rabbit compared to me. Sometimes I think you are a bit hard on yourself. How are you progressing lately? Are you on track for your goal next year?

Glad to see theres at least two of you out there. I'm fasting again tomorrow and will do my best to actually fast this time...and not eat strawberries and cream

Keep on keeping on. You can do it

Hey beanlet @nursebean, thank you but I struggle really, and will probably try 16:8 or 20:4, 19:5 next roster as ADF isn't really working for me at the mo. I can't sustain it on the rubbish food here! I have also noticed that any carb overload sends me backwards too, so I have regained weight again, although that may be partly due to a lack of 'regularity' again! More liquid for me!

Hi fellow ADFers( spell check said ADD, so maybe that's appropriate too!
I'm back from sunny qld & managed to do some good 18:6 s up there, now having my first proper fast for a week. ( forgive typos - typing behind the dreaded black box again!

Still finding ADF suits me pretty well, hard to keep to that 500 cal when travelling though. Haven't weighed myself in a week, but I will tmrw, was at a 30 year low before I went away!
Did plenty of jogging along the beach while I was away, hamstrings are suitably tight no. But in general, fasting & exercising are going pretty well despite life being abit crazy.

Nice to be back on the forum!

This tent seems to have gone very quiet am I the only one in here? :(
Oh well guess I'm going to talk to myself then. ADF all the way the we went away this weekend so I missed a fast - 3 full days of eating instead of an eat, fast, eat pattern and this is what I have found
1) my stomach no longer likes white bread
2) one sainsburys big fat burger and a sausage on the BBQ is enough to bring on a meat sweat
3) I needed salad or veggies with every meal
4) toasted marshmallows are still not a problem :)
5) I cannot eat as much as I used to nor do I want to eat as much as I used to
6) I missed not fasting, but did not feel guilty about missing one ( this is not a diet there are no sins!)
7) I no longer eat just because it's lunch, dinner time. I eat when I am hungry.
8)I can no longer stuff my face till I feel uncomfortable
9) I can no longer drink my body weight in alcohol. I am officially a cheap date.
10) I guess ADF is now my thing :)

Good to hear minsmum! I have temporarily stopped as combined work and fasting stress seems to be having the opposite effect on weight. Need to sort things out before I try again.
Shall be popping in though!

Minsmum - I too am embracing ADF at the mo. I want to give it a good whirl before my holiday in Sept.
I see we are both fasting today too.

ADF has really help me get back my plateau and to be honest it sounds so much worse than it actually is!

Happy ADF!

@Badgirl666 glad that ADF is working for you. I had hit a major plateau, but doing ADF has definitely got things moving. I now have a waist, which is something I am very happy about.
As its the long school hols at the mo I think ADF may just be a bit too much, too many picnics and days out booked, but I will be fasting as often as I can, hopefully 4:3 but if not I'll slot them in as often as I can. Simply because I feel so much better on ADF :)

Ooohh where you going on your hols?

I too hit a plateau and ADF really has pushed me past that - thankfully!
I am looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow and hopefuly a new low.

I can't image fasting with children to take care of - good for you and your newly found waist!

We are off to Las Vegas and Hawaii (a repeat of our honeymoon two years ago when I was really huge)
So I'm hoping to be about 3.5 to 4 stone lighter than my last visit.
Can't wait - about 8 weeks to go! In fact my icon (or what evers its called, is the beach we will be staying at!

Oh well done @minsmum sounds like you're doing really well. That's brilliant!

Sorry I haven't bean in here for a while. I can't get into the right mind set. Every time I think I'm going to start 4:3 I don't!! Hey ho! I'm sure I'll get back into the way of it one day!

Just thought I'd pop in to see if there are any new ADFers about, and to see how everyone else is getting on?

OK so I think we've gone way too long without discussing ADF.

I have decided to return to this way of eating. I think it suits the Bean much better...hopefully! Today is my second fast on my new system. On the days when I'm not fasting (so every other day) I am going to do 16:8. I haven't weighed myself yet because I just find it so disheartening looking at the same old numbers on the scales. What I shall do is weigh myself on 1 October in readiness for the Christmas challenge (yes I know, its crazy how quickly Christmas comes around isn't it) and go from there. BUT I am not going to weigh myself every day as I used to. Instead I shall weigh monthly. I just don't want to get het up about my weight. I'll be able to feel if I'm losing or not. Hopefully I can also get back into the weigh of doing yoga (see what I did there?!)

So, is there anyone out there who is also giving ADF a go? Come and join the Bean machine!

Bean

I'll join you all in the ADF tent. It's early days for me but I'm liking it so far. I find the fasting days very do-able and I love the feeling of being energised it seems to give me. When I've been over eating, most days I felt pretty lousy. It's amazing how much better you feel when your body isn't having to spend all that energy on continually digesting all that junk.

I'm very impatient so I don't feel the 5:2 would be for me, perhaps as a way of maintaining further down the line but that's a long way off yet. If i do anything I do it with gusto so ADF seemed the way to go.

It's a feast day today and a good job too as I'm having a weekend away. I have no intention of pigging out but a nice, well chosen meal in a restaurant will be lovely.
