Re: fasting and CFS

Hi, hope everyone is having a great day. my hubby and I made home made pasta yesterday. today I'm in a lot of pain and having heart rate issues. I didn't think it was THAT hard. the only thing I had while we were doing it was the pain I get between my shoulder blades when I stand for too long. oh, and I shouldn't have made pasta at home, it's puts ready made pasta to shame. :)

speaking of books, I just finished reading one by a friend of mine. he also has M.E./CFS and so does the protagonist in his story. It's called DO NOT GO GENTLE, by James Jorgenson. it's suspenseful, and hard to put down. not outon audio, but if you have a time when you can read it, you might enjoy it.

love the super-duper candy!!! glad we have our own super candy, and our jelly bean too. hugs to all my fellow marshmallows. Phyllis

Hope tomorrow brings you a better day x @MountainMyst
And Do not go gentle! I love the Dylan Thomas poem
" Do not go gentle into that good night....
Rage rage against the dying of the light"
Fabulous! X

Hope the lack of activity on this thread isn't an indication that you are having a bad time everyone. I have been having difficulty accessing the site for some reason.

I having one of those times that especially Hate this illness. not that I every enjoy it, but most of the time I have accepted the reality of the situation and just do the best I can with the limitations. however, my aunt that I dearly love is really ill, we thought dying, and because of this D.D. I can't go visit. She only lives 60 miles away, and because we are all sick, none of us can drive to get us there. I'm just really sad and angry at the moment. sorry to vent at you.
plus, I have been dealing with the stress with food. not my best plan, has made me miserable. feeling stuffed and bloated, found a couple of the pounds I had lost.

well, that's enough complaining from me. sending wishes for great days for all my fast friends. love Phyllis

Oh Phylis I'm so sorry to hear your news. It's bad enough that your aunt is unwell but the fact that you can't visit must be terrible for you. Would you be able to visit your aunt if somebody gave you a lift? Or are you pretty bad at the moment? Oh I am so sorry for you and am sending you lots of love and gentle hugs xx

I haven't bean in this tent for a while merely because I've visited other tents and just bean darn silly! I'm currently in the middle of dyeing my hair from dark brown/black to pastel pink. After a couple of processes it is now very gingery...with white roots! I am planning on leaving a toner in it overnight which should neutralise the brassy, yellowy colour...hopefully! needless to say, this is all beginning to take its toll on me and I'm definitely pooped now...and ginger!

Hi ginger beany, so glad you have been being silly on other threads. good luck with the hair color. I would love to see your pink hair when it gets done. I gave up coloring mine years ago. too sensitive to chemicals. I figure gray hair is better than no hair. :) so I'm salt and pepper, getting more salt all the time. still I'm just glad to be here long enough to get gray. ;)

as for visiting my aunt, it would probably put me in the bed for a week, but I could make it if I had a ride. we thought that moving near family, we would have support if needed. turns out, we moved too far away. most of the family lives about 30 miles away, and as my cousin says, we aren't on the way to anywhere. :/ my hubby wasn't too ill when we moved, so we didn't think it would be an issue.

I'm going to call my brother and see if maybe he can take me this weekend. he works out of town, and most weekends his wife has a big honey do list for him, so I don't know.

one reason I'm so upset is I haven't been calling regularly enough. I lose track of time so easily, just surviving. I called on Fri and got cut off, then I noticed my battery was low on my phone. so I decided to wait and call on Monday when everyone was at work and she could use the distraction. I got the call on Sat. that she was so sick. I feel like I let her down. seems to be a constant feeling sometimes that letting people down thing. this illness takes away so much doesn't it?

thank you so much for listening and for the hug! gotta run and get started on supper. hugs Phyllis

Phyllis, just to let you know that both Candy and I totally empathise. The guilty feeling of letting people down never really goes away does it. I'm sure the reality is that your aunt understands.

Poor Candy has bean overdoing it the past couple of days with househunting. She asked me to send her her empathies and to let you know she's thinking of you. She's just too tired to write at the mo!

Anyway, this comes with love from both of us...Cute marsh mellows!

thank you so much Beany. please thank Candy for me. house hunting is so hard, it will sure wear you out. sending you both a big hug and thanks. oh, and I love you yoga bean!!:)

I got to speak to my aunt today!! she is doing better. the hospice nurses thought she was dying of heart failure, turns out it was sepsis, and aspiration pneumonia. her granddaughter( a nurse) revoked hospice and got her treatment. hopefully she will be MUCH better soon.

love the marshmallows!! made me smile big time. thank you. wishing you both a restful night and great day tomorrow. Phyllis

Oh glad to hear you managed to see your aunt @Mountainmyst and that things are improving. Long may it last xx

Hope you're having a break from you house hunting Candy. Its all pretty exhausting stuff isn't it.

All I did today was go out for a coffee and then walked the girls (only about half an hour). I barely managed to get home today before I collapsed on the bed. Feeling very fragile now and not an awful lot of energy...surprisingly!! Don't be surprised if Im not around much today...she yawns!

Take care my little chickadees!
