Hello my Fast Friends, Happy Christmas!!! Oh, Beany, I am having more than a few indulgences. ;-) probably going to have to loose a few pounds for the second time. :-) my D.D. Gave me Ferro Roche (spelling??) and I'm not able to resist those sinful things.
Candy, oh, your D.D. Is a brave soul. She like most of us, I expect, has problems remembering her body won't do everything her mind wants it to do. Glad she has you to help her deal with the results. Hope you all have a wonderful time.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday and a marvelous new year, with good health and joy. Love Phyllis

Hope everyone had a marvelous Christmas! Happy Boxing Day! What are you up to on this wonderful day? I'm doing pretty much nothing. :-) will resume fasting next week, and start prepping for going grain free. Let's see, gotta eat tons of cookies, breads and all those things I won't be eating next month. ;-) just kidding, that really would give me more pounds to lose. Hope you are having a great day. Love, Phyllis

Hiii girls, happy Twixmas! Its snowing here in the North of England..is it snowing where you are @nursebean? Howz yr weather @MountainMyst?
I like this time between Chrissy Day and New Year..it feels like no other week of the year!
Well girls, looks like we're all three of us bracing ourselves for giving fasting a good go i n January!
Good luck with yr grain free Phyll..i' m not sure i can do that but deffo the less carb the better for our inflammation etc..
Its hard to get yr head round it after being told how good grains are/ bread is the staff of life etc, long as we eat wholemeal or multigrain. Deffo gonna do somemore reading up on it!
Enjoy the festive fun girlies, sending you biggg huggggs xx

Hello my little chickadees! Well, here we are in no-man's land. Its bean a lovely Christmas. Got to see my nephs via Facetime with my darling sister. It looked as though it was pretty chaotic in the Fitzgerald household! I was surprised to hear that their weather was pretty much idential to ours. No snow, but plenty of rain and greyness. The temperatures were like ours too. I'm sure this time last year Montreal was covered in a blanket of white ;)
So what are you guys up to now? Are you nibbling away at the leftovers so there won't be any temptation come January. I'm actually looking forward to getting back into ADF but this time I'm going to try eating my main meal at lunch time and then have a 100 cal 'something' in the evening. Who knows if it'll work. Oh I'll also cut out breakfast and include walks and yoga. I've gotta lose weight by June. I've just booked a 2-week holiday on the Isle of Wight for myself, my folks and my darling sister and her family from Canada. I think it'll be hectic but I sure will be pleased to spend time with my little sister.
Hoping to see "Woman in Black 2" on the 1st of Jan. For Christmas I was given a couple of Cinema cards with money on. What an ideal pressie for film buff Bean! Can't wait to start using them.
Best wishes to you all. I'm quietly confident that 2015 is going to be a great year for us three.

Hi @CandiceMarie love Twixmas! Never heard that before, but it's a great name for this week. I'm jealous of your snow. We have just had tons of rain and gloom. I'm mid crash at the moment, not up to much. I had planned to do all this baking etc, and right now I'm doing good to cook an evening meal.
I had noticed I lose weight better when I eat fewer carbs ( makes sense really) but I have also noticed that my pain and allergies seem to react more strongly to grains when I eat them now. So that is why I decided to try grain free. Should be an interesting experiment.
Hope you and D.D. Survive all the visitors. Hugs
Hi@nursebean, I think the yoga sounds like a good idea. I've been thinking of trying it out myself, at least the little ole lady version. :-) there is a lady on PBS that does a Yoga for the
Rest of us, program.
The Islr of Wight sounds great, so glad you can be with all of your family. The card for the cinema sounds like a wonderful present for a movie buff. Enjoy!!!
Hope everyone has a great Twixmas week!! Hugs Phyllis

So, my Isle of Wight holibobs is all booked...as is the ferry crossing. Now I just need to save up so I can pay for it all. Needless to say, my sales have reduced dramatically. However, this is good in a way because I'm not feeling my best at the mo.
How will you be seeing in the new year?

@nursebean, sorry you have crashed , seems to be part of holiday celebrations. So glad you have your hols all set. Sounds like so much fun. Rest up, business will pick up again soon I'm sure, to help with the savings.

@candicemarie, glad you will be able to rest up for a bit. Hope your babysitting services aren't required. It would indeed be great to be able to have a "normal" holiday season. Ah, well, we take life as it comes. Our celebrations will probably be finishing the game of UNO we started last night, some nibbles, and bed by 10pm. :-) ah, what an exciting life we lead. :-)
Wishing you all a very happy and healthy new year!! Hugs, Phyllis

Hi@CandiceMarie how are you? Recovering from the holidays? Are you seeing better tolerance of the LDN? Hope you abandon D.D. Are feeling better after your holiday entertaining.
Hi@nursebean, how are you doing? Rested up some I hope. Recovered from the pre-holiday workathon? Hope you are off to a good year.
I'm doing ok on the grain free diet. Hasn't been as difficult as I feared it might be. I've lost the weight I put on over the holidays, and my inflammatory arthritis seems to be doing better. My hands aren't as stiff and painful as they were. Back is still acting up, but time will tell. I'm Really hopeful that this diet along with the 5/2 will be helpful with all our symptoms. Will keep you up to date on how the experiment is going. Fast day today, whoo hoo! Wishing you a very food weekend, happy fasting. Hugs XX

Hey @Mountainmyst how lovely to see you...and it sounds as though things are going very well for you. Glad you've managed to lose the CHRISTMAS weight already. How great is that, eh!
I've had a terrible afternoon/evening feeling exhausted and aching like mad. I managed to walk the girls earlier and do a bit of work...but I think it has killed me off. My girls have both taken it in turns to be poorly which is very stressful and exhausting. Anyway, hopefully tomorrow will be better, although it's a fast day so I'm not too hopeful.
