Hello @CandiceMarie,@nursebean, @chingola, @Silverslimmer, I must humbly apologize my dear friends for falling off the face of the earth. I am so sorry I haven't been here in so long. I promise I didn't forget you and that I wasn't here to offer support when you needed it. Seems like we are all struggling at the moment.

My family and I caught a cold several weeks back and it have just knocked us all down. Coupled with allergy season, my asthma has been really playing up. I seem to have lost the ability to post anything.:-)
We just watched the house next door sell for twenty five thousand dollars less than we owe on this house!! Not good news when we are looking to join the rest of you in moving soon. Very discouraging. Chingola, good luck with you preparations to move, glad you are trying to pace yourself despite the urgency you feel .
In the midst of all this we had one of our outdoor kitties get sick, I brought her in and tried to help, but the vet diagnosed leukemia and we had to put her down. It broke my heart.
Beany, I am so sorry your good run is over for now. It is one of the cruelties of this illness, you get a glimpse of better times only to have it snatched away. Hugs and hopes for better days soon.
Candy, how are you? Hope that little gain went bye bye. :-) Deidre always gains that time of the month. I am well past those days. ;-)
I need to close now, but I end with a promise to come back soon and not vanish again. Love to all, Phyl

Dear Phyl @MountainMyst how lovely to hear from you! Candy and I were both getting worried about you. I'm sorry you've bean through a really bad patch - and SO sorry to hear about that little cat. Its just heartbreaking when our furry friends suffer isn't it. Try not to worry too much about the house next door. Perhaps there is something more to offer with your house. When will you start selling? Have you managed to get your house ready yet? Hugs to you and thanks for letting us know you're still there. It sounds as though its really hard at the moment. xxx
I've lost another 1.5 pounds this week so I am a happy Bean! Trouble is, I'm on holiday tomorrow so next time I weigh in it might not look so good. I'll try not to over-do things. I've really got into the fasting way of things now so hopefully I'll soon be super skinny!

I am getting on nicely putting my house on the market. My sister and lodger have been doing a good job of cleaning and decluttering, I`ve got a handyman and a cleaner coming later, and the estate agent is taking photos on Saturday. Then after a day or 2 rest I`m up to Cheltenham to look at houses there, and collect the dog. Not really thinking about a diet, more not getting the kitchen dirty!
I have discovered that you can`t estimate how much your house is worth by looking at what next door went for.

Hi@nursebean,@chingola, so sorry to have worried you. I promise to check in even if only to say I can't write anything. :-)

Beany, congrats on the weight loss!! Enjoy your holiday and know that all will balance out. I am sad about Kilmouska, I miss her little furry self. I now have three that I am still feeding, I think one is a neighbors cat that just likes to eat out once in a while. :-) I do wish folks around here understood about spay and neuter. Ah well.
The house does worry me as the houses next door are pretty much identical to mine. They were built in the 1920's for mill workers. I haven't put more work into this one since that one when on the market, waiting to see what it sold for. With all the problems in the house that our home inspector missed, I really don't think it is worth what we owe on it. Well, enough of that depressing stuff. :-) hope you have a lovely holiday! Hugs
Hi chingola, sounds like you are well on your way! So glad you have help with the getting ready. Do you have a home picked out in Cheltenham? Diet is secondary right now, just eat to keep your energy up, make sure you stay hydrated. Good luck with the sale. Hugs, Phyl

Howdy @mountainmyst Phyl,so good to see you! But sad you and DD and DH havebean suffering even more than usual with bad colds ...and asthma is an awful thing ..DD had it quite severely as a child but seems to have outgrown it
being online is prob one of the worst things for us to do when we're at a low ebb but its a welcome distraction when not well enough to go out...but there are times like you say Phyl when we just dont have the energy to read or write or do anything fun or interesting..sometimes all we can do is keep ticking over.

So sorry about the kitty x and i agree,re spay and neuter for cats and dogs...too many unwanted little four legged souls born..and often takes its toll on the mommy who may have several litters.
I hope you find a buyer for yr house MM x there's someone out there who fits the bill x

@chingola so pleased all going smoothly, hope you get the house of yr dreams!

Anyway @mountainmyst@chingola@nursebean@silverslimmer @crackers a little good news
My friends just bean on a camping and foraging weekend..she discovered theres a herb known as herb robert - this herb apparently helps relieve symptoms of ME/ CFS ...she sent me details of two men who are well again after being ill with ME for many years. One of them now working eighty hours a week!
Claims to cure cancer too. Suggests you just simply eat several leaves of it a day. My friend has picked some and is growing it in pots. i' m going to look for some in nearby woods ( it grows in shady damp places)but have also ordered some seeds online to grow some at home.
I' m reading up on it and it is supposed to repair DNA and restore damaged mitochondria. You never know, could be the answer to our prayers! Imagine feeling well again! Worth a try XX

I`m a bit worn out and aching but result, I have sold my house to the first person to view it, and he`s a cash buyer. One I wanted has already gone, so I`m heading back to Cheltenham to have another look at others which sound suitable. Keeping my fingers crossed it goes reletively smoothly. Too excited to eat much at moment, but don`t expect that to last. Going to have a nice hot bath now and try and relax. Thanks to you all for your support.

Hi @CandiceMarie, really good to see you! Glad to hear you D.D. Outgrew her asthma. I was doing a lot better, but the cold coupled with allergy season really set me off. I haven't had a cold in years, and I always get bronchitis when I get one. Plus I think it triggers the immune system to go nuts. :-) anyway we are doing better, it's just slower then I would like.
Seems I have heard of herb Robert, but not sure where. Must do some research today. Something that could be a miracle for us wouldn't it? Glad to hear of someone getting their life back ( although I wouldn't want to spend it working 80 hrs a week. ) but we sure do have a lot of lost time to make up for. How are you doing? I know you have been in a crash also. Sending you a big hug and thanks for the info on the herb.
@chingola, oh I am so thrilled for you!! Now you really have to rest up for the move! I am sorry your house you wanted is sold, but I am sure the perfect home is waiting for you. Rest up and take good care of yourself, eat when you are hungry and be good to you. Hugs.
Well, gotta tun, love to all. Phyl

@chingolaso so pleased for you! Someone up there looking out for you i think!woohoo!!!
thats made my day xxx :like:
@mountainmyst hi Phyl..i rately get a cold either...there's a theory we dont get colds coz our immune systems just dont recognise them..the snuffles and sneezes and going hot then shivery that we call a cold, are in fact those symptoms are the immune system's reaction to the cold bug, fighting to throw it off...so it seems we might have the germ but not the response to it
I wd gladly have regular colds again if herb robert cured us all! Giving it a go anyway.

Bronchitis is horrid so I' m glad you havent had an attack for years phyl ...my poor mum had it badly when i was a kid, bless her. I can remember on several occasions having to run to the phone box in the middle of the night to call the doctor...very few homes in my neighbourhood had a phone then.

Have a good week everyone xx

Thanks to everyone for their kind thoughts. I am off out to a Thai restaurant tonight to celebrate, so I am trying to defer eating until then. Will make myself a cup of tea.

Hi @CandiceMarie, I sure hope the herb robert helps, I think I am going too give it a go as well. I don't fancy eating something nicknamed stinky bob though. :-) I wonder if you can tincture it? Haven't found that info yet.
I did wonder if getting a cold was a good sign that my immune system is functioning better. I would have preferred just getting well. :-) I bet it was scary when your Mom was sick and you had to run for the phone. We had a phone when I was young and it was what was called a party line, several families on the same line. When our house caught fire my Mom tried to call my Dad who worked nearby. One of the neighbors picked up the phone, panicked and dropped the phone, making it impossible for her to call. We lived in a rural area with no fire dept in those days. Ah the good old days :-)
Be sure to keep us posted on the herb robert experiment. Wishing you a great day!
Hi@chingola, hope you had a great celebratory dinner! I am so excited for you. Good luck on your house hunting trip.
Hugs to all, Phyl

Hi @mountainmyst is it really nicknamed stinky bob! oh dear....doesnt sound promising does it..however,if i can drink disgusting boiled up chinese herbs,( like drinking a puddle of foul cold water!) i can manage anything!
My friend sent me some leaves and i had heard it didnt smell pleasant, but i found it had no smell to me.
I hope she sent me the right herb!
I ate the leaves, and they tasted ok..just a little bit bitter
I got some seeds from Ebay and now ive got a little pot on my windowsill waiting to see what happens!
Ive sent for some dried robert too to make tea
Is a tincture the same as making tea? Heres some info...
