WoooooHooooo!!!! 4lbs off! and I've dropped down into the next stone. I'm now 17stone something, next target is to be 16stone something.

My son lost 2lbs.which is brilliant! My husband won't weigh until he comes home as he wants to stick with the same set of scales so we'll know about him in a couple of weeks.

Fast day today. Started with a hibiscus tea as it's soooo good for you. Walked my puppies. Going to spend the day clearing a space in my sewing room. I'm going to save my calories for this evening.

Well Done, you must be so pleased. I must say, I love reading these progress reports, even though my weight loss has been rather slow, it's great to read about other people's successes.

Well done Catscratch! That is a great result, and although it's been said before it really is encouraging to us all.

Great stuff, Catscratch! Well done. You sound so motivated and strong. Really good that your husband and son are doing it with you, too, and everyone is so positive. Bound to succeed!

Catscratch welcome - you've certainly found somewhere full of friendly people (I love it here!). I was 5st overweight and have lost 3st - so still a way to go. I love this WOL - and I'm in it for life - so many other benefits on top of weight loss. Think you're right about the short and long term goals. I'm heading for 12st at the moment and racing my hubby to get there (he's on 5:2 too, though with only a very small amount to shed) - there's no way I'm going to let him get there before me !!! But I'm just so pleased to have found soething which makes me feel better, look better and am getting so much more out of life  Wish I'd found this 10 years ago, but then with the kids at home I don't think I'd be able to manage it, now it's just me and hubby and so we can please ourselves. Life is good :) Good luck, look forward to hearing how it's going for you

Thanks for posting and the support girls!

It's a feed day today and it occurred to me how useful it is to eat 2000 calories, because you're re-educating yourself all the time as to what a 'normal' amount of food for you is. It puts things back into perspective.
I'm also delighted at how full I feel most of the time, It's as if the shock of 'starving' has totally reset my fullness monitoring system. I just don't feel like picking through the day. I've relearnt what 'hungry' means.

Suchard your weightloss is fab!!! We are all a bit competitive in my house but we all know that it's important for no one to get left behind so everyone is getting plenty of encouragement. I'm not the heaviest but I do have the most weight to lose. My son wants to shed about 4 stone and my husband about 3. I'm like a terrier when I get my teeth into something, shall we say they are both a little more relaxed about things!

I took my courage in both hands and went to a Pilates class tonight. First proper exercise for ages. I was hugely bigger than everyone else. But they were all really nice and the hour flew by. It was very hard work- especially 'the plank' as I'm so heavy. But I've paid for 8 more classes (2 a week) and I'm looking forward to it. Not looking forward to the morning though as I think I might be a bit achey!

Well done catscratch! Pilates is supposed to be very good for you.

If you do feel achy remember that your muscles will hold on to water during their repair so you may not lose or even appear to gain weight this week (you probably will lose fat but the water retention will hide that).

Thanks for that Caroline. I'm not as achey as I thought I'd be, although my quads are a little sore. It usually gets worse the second day tho' doesn't it. I'll bear in mind what you say when I weigh in on Monday morning.

Well done you ! I totally agree with you about the 2000 cals, part of my problem is not knowing what *normal food portion" really is.
Just getting into more fruit and veg and eating slower and stopping when full even if food is still on the plate.

Weighed in this morning and both my son and I have lost 2lbs each!!

And I've just realised that I'm not 'Morbidly Obese' anymore.

I woke up feeling queasy and have spent most of the morning on the sofa feeling sorry for myself. It's easing off now and hopefully I'll be ok for Pilates tonight at 7.

Well done on the continued weightloss!
Just wondered how you are getting on with the pilates? I have a similar amount of weight to lose as you and was considering starting pilates but wasnt sure if I would cope!

Horseygal thanks for posting.
I am really enjoying the pilates but it is very hard work when you are carrying so much weight as it is very much about control and using your own bodyweight. When you're nearly 8 stone overweight this can be a real challenge! My arms shake uncontrollably when I'm doing the plank (easy version)
The young girl that teaches my class is very thorough and shows all the levels of difficulty with each exercise.
I think as long as you can isolate yourself and can concentrate on what you are doing then go for it.
I know that I'm bottom of the class but I also know how quickly the human body adapts, with the weight coming off at the same time it won't be long before I'll catch them up. I'm really glad I took my courage in both hands and went for it.

Good luck!
I've just entered my first weeks stats and I've lost 7lbs. I had three days fasting in that as I started last Tuesday and fasted Thursday and yesterday (Monday). Found the fast days a bit difficult at first (not helped by my love of cooking programs on TV) but got through them. I don't think I ate all of the 500 cals on these days. I LOVE this diet as I woke up this morning and knew I could eat normally, great feeling! Love the support on this site as well.
