Wow! 7lbs is huge!!!! Really well done.
I know what you mean about the diet. It only requires bursts of willpower. I can handle that for the rest of my life which is what makes it different to all the others. I think the weight will stay off this time.

So far so good this week. I fancied some chocolate while I was in the Supermarket earlier but thought it not a good idea to buy a multipack!
So I called in to the village shop on my way home and bought a single Mars Bar it felt very strange to be doing that whilst on a 'diet' but it is within my self imposed calorie allowance so I went for it. I enjoyed it and don't feel in the slightest bit guilty. I love this WOE.
I'm off to Pilates again in a minute 3rd class tonight and nothing has gone ping yet!

3rd and last fast day this week completed! I was at my sewing group today and had to ignore the homemade cakes and jam doughnuts that had been brought in. But I managed no problem and just kept on sewing, head down, at my machine. At the end of the day there were some leftover doughnuts which were wafted under my nose and I just wasn't interested. It's very strange!!!

I kept my 500 cals for one meal at tea time, so I've gone a full 24 hours without food. I find that much easier to do than spitting it into smaller meals. It means I go to bed feeling full.

Onwards and upwards!!

Catscratch wrote: I am really enjoying the pilates but it is very hard work when you are carrying so much weight as it is very much about control and using your own bodyweight. When you're nearly 8 stone overweight this can be a real challenge! My arms shake uncontrollably when I'm doing the plank (easy version)
I know that I'm bottom of the class but I also know how quickly the human body adapts, with the weight coming off at the same time it won't be long before I'll catch them up.

Bear in mind that with being bigger than the rest of the class, you are working harder. Your plank is the equivalent of one of the thinner ladies doing it with a 20kg plate on their back and I'm pretty sure that some of them would struggle!

Just think that as the weight drops off, you'll be ahead in terms of having lovely muscles to show off under the skin... and you'll be well ahead. When I first started going to the gym, I was 3 stone heavier than I am now and doing partial tricep dips nearly killed me. Now I do full ones with 10kg sitting on my lap - but I'm aware that I'm doing them with less weight than when I started!

Thanks for the support!! I know that I'm working really hard at the class and I'm not really bothered about what everyone else is doing I can isolate myself and just concentrate on making sure nothing goes Ping! They are a lovely friendly bunch, it would be easy to hate them as they are all so slender!
You're right there will be a lot of muscle tone building under the fat and I'll eventually reap the benefit of all that sweating. I'm also hoping for some increased flexibility as I would like to hop gracefully on and off my husbands Harley this summer, instead of landing on the seat like a sack of potatoes!

Had a VERY long lie-in this morning so missed breakfast. We went out for a roast followed by jam sponge and custard -yum. Dragged my son round TKMaxx as I said he was my slave for the day tee hee!! Home for Tuna mayo sandwich this evening. We've just shared a bar of Dairy Milk. I reckon I've finished on about 2000cals. Not planning on doing much tomorrow other than staying close to the fire. Isn't it cold???

Weigh-in in the morning. Fingers crossed.

Looked at the scales this morning with one eye closed as I didn't feel like I'd lost much this week even tho' I've been good.

But 3lbs off!!!!

That's a total of 12 in 4 weeks. I'm really pleased.

My mum just phoned and she's thrilled with a 4lb loss. She's in her 70's and finds weightloss really slow normally but she's lost 6lbs in her first two weeks and can't quite believe it. She said she jumped on and off the scales 3 times just to be sure!

Pilates again last night even though it was Freeeezing cold and it would have been very easy to just stay by the fire. I had a good class and worked up quite a sweat. I feel constantly achey in my lower abdomen so it's having an effect.
I think the trick on fast days is to keep busy. I was in the house all day and kept thinking about food but I managed by having lunch with my son and then some celery and cheese triangles at teatime. Managed to keep to the 500cals.
I was really organised this morning and made a menu out for the week! So I know what I'm having every day. Been to Sainsburys and grocery shopped, grabbed a prawn/mayo sarnie to have with a cup-a-soup at home and I think it's Fajitas for tea tonight as they are nice and quick and easy.
Mu mum is still absolutely gobsmacked at her first two weeks weight loss, as she's gotten older she's found dieting really difficult and has been lucky to lose a 1lb a month on conventional diets, but this WOE seems to have given her metabolism a kick up the pants and she's lost 6lbs in the first two weeks, she can't stop talking about it!

Good attitude. It's helpful to have a goal to work towards. The motorcycle ride sounds fabulous. My husband and I ride as well, and yes, being lighter will make your ride that much more enjoyable. Besides you'll need to get some cute riding clothes for the trip. Keep us all updated on your progress. :)

Thanks Stomar! I am really looking forward to the trip now. When my husband first announced that he'd booked it I was horrified as I am so overweight. But now the diet is working, and I can see that I can be an acceptable size for the 4 day journey there and back. It's certainly keeping me focused! 13 weeks and counting!

I really love the way this diet works:-

Yesterday I spent the whole day at my quilting group, with a selection of cakes that one of the members had made for comic relief about 4 ft away from me. The temptation was enormous! Especially as everyone else was tucking in. And then it dawned on me. I could buy some and keep them for tomorrow - a feed day! So I can have my cake and eat it!

They were lovely!!

Weighed in this morning and 2lbs has gone giving me my first Stone!!!

I'm 5 weeks in and 15 fasts done. When I started I weighed 18st 5lbs today I'm 17st 5lbs and being 16stone something feels like its only a couple of weeks away.

I had a weekend that seemd to be centred around eating. On Saturday after my usual porridge and berry breakfast, I went to a Quilt group (IQD). We went over to the pub for lunch and I had a suet steak and ale pud. Then in the afternoon a nice slice of Carrot cake followed by a Tuna Mayo sarnie out later at a pub for tea.

We went for an all you can eat breakfast on Sunday. I worked that out to be about 1300cals all on its own!! Didn't have anything else until a Sarnie at teatime with some sunbites and a Curly Wurly while watching TV. As you can imagine I was a tad nervous standing on the scale this morning but 2lbs off!!! Unbelievable!!!

Well done you. What a great result in only 5 weeks!!
p.s I'm fasting today and reading your weekend feast has made me really hungry!!

Thanks Alibaba!!

The weekend feast just goes to show how brilliant this way of eating is, doesn't it? I've never known a diet where you can, within reason, eat what you like most of the time and still lose weight. It just makes the long term maintenance seem so achievable. I really think that once I'm down to my target I'll be able to stay there this time.

I hope my menu hasn't blown your fast day? I'm fasting today too and it's actually quite a nice feeling to have a break after all that rich stuff at the weekend.

My husband and I went into the city today and he bought me a Trollbead bracelet with a Venus of willendorf charm on it to mark my first stone lost. The Venus is a very overweight lady and I love it. Every time I lose a stone I can add one to my bracelet. I thought it would be a good way to remind me to stay on track and when I've reached my goal weight it will also remind me of the effort I've made.
