I LOVE the flexibility of this way of life.

Still in Europe and missing California. Fasting has continued however and have joined the DODO tent which seems to be working for me at the moment. However now I'm back from vacation - the days are long. I got up at 6am this morning to speak to someone in Australia and now the Californians are up, working and lively and I have already been going 12.5 hours. Time to put my feet up!

Good for you @rawkaren for keeping up fasting and even starting DODOing while out of your normal routine! :victory: When will you be back in California?

I just made a rushed trip to the market and will be leaving in an hour for a Dr appt before heading home. My sister is coming for a long weekend visit so I'm off work tomorrow. Fun times ahead, but too much food & drink I'm afraid. Oh well......that's life!

Have a great weekend!

Just bumping this as I don't want our small group of U.S.-ers to disappear. Had a good fast day yesterday (my usual Monday) but its always hard getting motivated for a second day in the week.
@Lori, I know you are off on a lovely cruise pretty soon :airplane: :island: - enjoy everything and don't worry about fasting til you get home.
@peebles, are you still maintaining okay?
I think Spring is really here in the States :sun: so at least I have no reason NOT to get out and about and enjoy the better weather and do some exercise.

Hi @lovemyparrot and everyone!

Yes...I'm leaving WAY early on Thursday morning. I wanted to have a fast day today, but it didn't work out that way. I'm so keyed up and nervous about this trip that I can't seem to make myself have a proper fast. Oh well.....a couple days won't make that much of a difference. I'll resume with a vengeance on 4/27.

"See" you in a couple weeks!

Sorry I missed last week. The weather was in the 70's all week and we were outside the entire time. I didn't do very well at 5-2 last week. I think it was 1000 calories for each day. But I'm hoping to do well today. It was harder than I thought to resist marshmallows last week when we had some campfires in the back yard. But this week we are cold again 30's-40's will possibility of snow. I'm still going to go outside but will not have marshmallows lol

Hi Everyone. Not been 'home' for 3 weeks now. Feels very strange. Sorry for not helping to keep this thread alive.

Good Morning!
Trying to get back in the swing of being home. Having my first cup of coffee and ready for the 2nd. I have all my unpacking and laundry to tackle, but I'm dreading it. I got home about 10:45 last night. There is also a trip to the grocery store in my future as my husband has gone thru most of what I left here for him.

Took a peek at the scale and I'm up 5 lbs. Not too bad when you consider what I have been eating for the past 10 days! I know it is vacation "fluff" and will soon be gone. Now I need to get down to business and get to goal.

First fast day tomorrow...I'm ready!

Are you really calling Cali "home" now @rawkaren ? - or, more likely, both continents feel like home to you now !!!!

Experiencing the contrasts and recognizing the commonalities must be facinating. Two countries separated by a common culture.

Hiya. Just joined tonight and will start 5:2 tomorrow. I've decided Tuesday's and Thursday's will be my fast days.

So very excited to try something new. I am tired of being overweight. I gained 40lbs between both my pregnancies. Baby weight turned into stress, lazy, depressed, no time weight. :-(

Looking forward to getting some control and getting healthier.

Any, tips, trick, hints will be appreciated.

I am in NY , BTW. :-)
