I am horrible at keeping up with this forum, I apologize!

I am at 241.8 this morning. I am in the rhythm and on a roll. I am doing a 4:3 but most weeks it is actually a 4:1:1:1 I get in 1 day under 700 calories (trying to stay under 500), one day under 500, and usually my 3rd fasting day I am under 300 so I guess on average it is three 500 calorie days?!? The 4 days I am not fasting, well 3 of those are usually all about fresh veggies and fruits with a bit of protein and with one day just being a whatever, though I don't track the non-fasting days anymore.

I like doing it this way because I can't do more than 2 non-fasting in a row or I get quite out of hand with the food. And for the first day back to fasting after the 2 non-fasting, well it is my day off of work which makes it harder, and the first day back to watch what I eat which makes it harder.

At any rate, it is working for now. As my weight goes lower I will likely have to be a bit more careful.

Anyway, here are the stats....
June 22nd weight 255
June 28th weight: 250.4 - 4.6
July 12th weight: 249.6 -.8
July 31st weight:244.6 -5.0 goal reached!
August 6th weight 244.2 -.4
August 30th weight 241.8 - 2.4
Loss since start 13.2
No 19 checking in. Disappointed, as I ate so well on holiday - 16:8, low carb and small portions (no bread and just ONE chip) and put on five pounds!! It must have been the Tinto Vino!
All this means that I am one pound more than at the beginning of this challenge - new start tomorrow.

#3 checking in. I put on .400gms this week as per my Friday weigh day. I am putting it behind me as I think/hope it's only fluid and this week I will not eat chocolate...cause of the fluid I believe, cos I ate too much
Anyways, the challenge is not over yet... MAY WE LOSE, LOSE, LOSE and LOSE SOME MORE!
Double post - AGAIN! :dazed:
I'm only a kilo down so far, though the yo-yo effect is in full swing!
Keeping on trying, after a rather over enthusiastic evening of munchies, today will be More Controlled on the carb front ...
:0)
No 12 checking in ............. I have updated my tracker for the first time in two weeks, it's now showing a 0.4lb increase. However in terms of this challenge:

Started at 127.4
Today 126.4
Loss = 1lb
To lose 2.4lbs

The 1lb loss means very little in real terms as daily weighing is a see-saw affair - anything from 126 to 128.4. At some point I will get there :victory: :victory: :victory: :victory: :victory: :victory: :victory:

Good luck everyone, wishing you all a determined week ahead :clover:
Sue.Q wrote: @isis A loss is still a loss however small they add up in the end, plus the exercise maybe adding water weight or whatever it does, you've done a great weightloss job and you'll be rewarded somewhere down the line deffo.
Blimey that wedding has soon come up all of a sudden, have a lovely day I'm sure you'll look and feel fantastic, just remember you'd have been a different person going to your son's wedding if you hadn't found 5:2  Enjoy the day.

Thank you Sue!
I am feeling happier now after trying on my outfit with my marvellous hat & showing it to my husband for the first time & he said I look elegant & slimmer because my hips are now narrower than my shoulders
My dress is a still a little tight over my thighs but nothing I can do about it now & all I really wanted was to not look like mutton dressed as lamb & to try & look smartly dressed! I certainly do look much better than I did in January 2013 when I started 5:2ing & it would have been a different story if I hadn't started fasting & found this forum :like: :like:
Ooh, forgot to check in, number 2 here. A loss of 0.8lb this week from me. Happy its another new low. :)

Challenge start weight: 168.4 lbs
28th of june: 169.4 lbs +1 lb
5th of july: 169.6 lbs + 0.2 lb
2nd of Aug: 168.4 lbs -1.2 lb
9th of Aug: 168.8 lbs +0.4
15th of Aug: 169 lbs +0.2
22nd of Aug: 167.6lbs -1.4 lb
29th of Aug: 166.8lbs -0.8 lb
Since the start: -1.6 lb . I know this is hardly a loss over all this time but I'm actually happy with it :)
@justdee congrats on your new low :like: :like: :like: I'm having a little justdee dance for you - don't look now  . How did you do that? Any advice for us who yo-yo and see-saw within 2 lbs for months on end without breaking through the barrier. Just returned from 3 days re-feed with parents, not really a re-feed as others might see that, but a light lunch and light dinner with 90-95 year olds whose diet is very varied and healthy. It makes me wonder if I have got stuck as while my diet is healthy it is pretty consistent week in and week out. I think I have answered my Q to you. I'm going to introduce change - not re-feeding, just change the menu. I'll report back!   Watch this space
#65 calling from Weymouth. Weight today (with new Omron scales) = 76.2kg, total loss of 2.8kg since beginning this challenge on 14 July. Have 4.7kg left to lose to meet 71.5kg target (although discredited Salter scales probably underestimated starting weight by 2.9kgs). Anyway, key thing for me is that weight is going down and so is waist. Feeling fitter and did a 7 mile walk before lunch today inc zyder in lovely surroundings. Good luck to everyone else.
Can I join with only 3 weeks left?

My goal will be to lose 5lbs

I'll be doing 4:3 and I'm just starting IF again after 6 months away from it and putting on 10lb :(
Well done on that new low @justdee :clover:
Good luck with your new plan @Lizbeanwhatever it turns into change is good for adding confusion to our bodies :like:

Welcome and good luck with those 5lbs @Danielle21711 Then we're onto the Christmas 2014 challenge

Just tell us your starting weight - you wish to lose 5 lbs in this challenge.

Each week provide starting weight, current weight, weight to lose to win your challenge, easy peasy. I normally weigh in on a Friday, after Thursday fast

Our host @cblaze will log you on the front page at some point, but like you she is back into school and in the midst of it all at the mo.

@Sue.Q thx, yes, I'm in the mix, was that a single from the 70's? :lo

@DeMuralist
4:1:1:1 is an interesting title for your method. and with 700/500/300 on the fast days, yes it averages 500 calories so it sounds good. and with your diet restrictions on non fast days... I can see how you got the good results

No.17 here with my Monday excuses...em..weigh in! I am 141.6lbs, which is a loss of 0.2lbs. I have been see-sawing between 144 and 141 for 5 weeks now. I did 4:3 again last week to try to get off the plateau, so I am really peeved now that I am more or less the same weight as last week.

And now for the excuses:
Image
1: I have been on a weeks hols
2: when I weighed in last week it was the morning after a fast day, so perhaps I was lower than I should have been last week.
3: I have just done a bunch of measurements and there are some changes there. A month ago (4th Aug) I had the same weight as today, but now my waist is 2inches smaller and my body fat % is 2% lower.
4: I am beginning to wonder if I am caught in the "famine reaction" as, although I have been fairly good, there have been a couple of bingy evenings. Nothing compared to the old me, but I have been craving junk more thsn usual.

I only have 1.6lbs to go...still....will I ever get there?
