I'm back form my hols and only put on 3.5lb this week. I am blooming shocked because even the eating thing went out the window and I did have the odd drinky.
#61 Checking in with a total loss of -8 lbs so only 2 more to reach my first challenge!
Well, I'm having a bit of a rubbish time. Plateau and then days of fasting where I just gave in and ate a lot - not had that before :-(
@cblasz thanks for posting the incentive. Given my poor stats the past few months I am setting my target very low at 6lbs. Of course I would like more but I don't want to disappoint myself. Especially since I have been googling chocolate torte filling ideas. A bit of self sabotage!
No.17 checking in with a 0.6lbs loss. I dont know if my scales actually decimalises the ounced, or if that is 6oz! Still, its not bad, considering I was in my mams and sourrounded by yummy treats and wine each night. I managed two good fasts and tried 16:8 windows. I failed with the windows as the lure of chocolate and wine was too much. It would have been rude not to, as my sis, mum and I were chatting!

I didn't manage a full fast today. My 1st fast over 500. I got up to 700cals :frown: I am off on a self catering holiday next Monday. It would be nice to see my goal weight before I go. But, of course I will have more work once I am back.

Cblasz, katarina, peonyblue, isis, Carieoates, Brand-ie hope you all enjoyed your breaks.
Croftmaclean, swuddly, wasafan, piper, tammae the pounds are melting off you!
@Demuralist, congrats on reaching your challenge goal already! The deadline seemed to suit you well. Start thinking about the next challenge title!
@Annurca, the running will build muscle and initially slow down the loss. Dont get disheartened, you know its the healthy way to go.
@Azureblue, way-hoo, you are under 70kg :victory:
@Sue.q, I can nearly see the last 650g sliding away from here! You are so close.
@Lizbean, we both have the almost the same left to go to get to maintenance and meet this challenge. Race ya there
@Chinchin, good thinking with the measurements. Its easy to get caught up with the scales, but that us only a part if the story.
Chin up @slimmer and @rbrum! I also have seen the scales bounce around the same figures. Try measuring your bits like chinchin. Hope that gives you a nice surprise.
@Gill, I revised my goal too. These last few pounds are tricky buggers! I was hoping to make goal before my hols on Monday, and then maintain at a higher figure. Perhaps the new goal us a bit too gaunt and difficult to maintain for me.
@Clairemarie, welcome!
Have a lovely holiday @scubachick don't worry about that much needed weightloss, have a good time, holidays are meant for enjoyment so enjoy ALL eat wisely, healthy options,
red wine is good for us I believe and of course chocky/medicine
Go swimming, walking to the pub anything you fancy
Just ENJOY!!!

Have a wonderful holiday @scubachick!

#25 reporting.

My weight was up .2 lbs from last week, to 141.0 but the Libra trend continues down from 140,9 to 140.7, so progress is still being made.

I lightened up a bit on obsessing about what I am eating on non-fast days and feel more mentally healthy. I am not going to make myself crazy about losing more weight. I'll just keep fasting twice a week and see what happens.
@scubachick happy hols to you. I have almost landed in the maintaining tent but for you I'll bring it on! Let's do it! We have till 23 Sept! x
#65 checking in - a bit irregular but am fitting my fasts around visitors and all. Today I weigh 75.1kg, so have lost 3.9kg of the 7.5kg I hoped to lose by Sept 23. Udderly brilliant and frankly a bit of a surprise. Invented a low calorie meal yesterday - cabbage dolmades in an aubergine and tomato/scotch bonnet chilli sauce (basically every unused vegetable in the fridge), and it tasted not too bad. May not be eating enough protein though; will pay more attention to that in future. Good luck to all fellow strivers!
Hi challenger 38 checking in. Start weight for challenge 88.5Kg - Weight down to 83kg so down another 1.5kg. Total loss 5.5kgs / 13lbs ish so very very happy with that. Trying really hard, watching TDEE and exercising more as dress requires to be bought the first weekend in September as promised son I wouldn't wait until the weekend before his wedding ( bad habit of doing everything at the very last moment) enjoying this challenge, it's helping to keep me on the straight and narrow. Good luck everyone x
#53 weekly report
the running will build muscle and initially slow down the loss. Dont get disheartened, you know its the healthy way to go

@Scubachick Thank you for the warning. I hope you are right!
I've put on a pound when I was expecting to lose one. Despite having visitors and so eating some puddings, I've eaten well this week.
10 stone 5 pounds was about the lowest weight I ever stayed at when I was in my 20s, and now in my 40s it looks like history is repeating itself!
But I feel more surprised than disheartened, and will see what next week brings.
I'm very late in the day, having been off the wagon for a couple of months now. But I'm ready for a short, sharp shock. Over that period I have fasted very rarely, continued running but lived the high life. I've put on over 1.5 kg which I actually think is not too much, considering.
Could you possibly enter me for the challenge, even at this late stage?
I'm currently at 67.7 kg and am targeting 65 kg.
Hi @scubachick, I am a bit of a scuba girl myself so have to do the wet suit check before I can be sure of my goal. I got fed up with having to hire a mans suit and decided that I would only dive were I could wear a tee shirt instead.

I shall revise things if I ever get to my challenge weight. At least things seem to be moving at the moment, you are right they are tricky pounds to shift.

Hope you have a good enjoyable holiday.
For reasons outlined in my recent thread "Time to re-motivate myself".....I am here to report that I have gained the 3lbs I had lost since starting this challenge.....so am back to Square 1.

There are 6 weeks left though, so we will just have to see what can be achieved in that time....having jumped back on the wagon this Monday!

It's great to read of the successes on here though! Makes me really wish I hadn't gone off the rails in the first place....but I have so much to learn about me....and this forum is a great place for gaining plenty of wisdom & insight.....

To those of you who, like me, aren't doing as well as you had hoped......let's keep on keeping on......together! Any loss will be a plus, won't it? Xx
