Redhead isn't it funny that you once had to hide from this forum the fact that you did zero calorie water fasts :-)
Well done Roo - what a fabulous achievement!
I am in shock this morning, had to weigh myself twice on two different scales in different rooms because I could not believe my eyes, I have lost 1.5kg...woohoo. My TOTM just started today as well so the water retention my body was holding to as well was released, had the same thing happened last month but not as big as this weight loss, the 36 hr no food fast got things moving for sure.

Needed this boost because from 7 th April I had a week off fasting and 2 weeks off exercising , was visiting a friend, and beginning of the week I was carefull but then I overindulged on some days. So when I came back (15th April) I got on the scales and I gained 1.2 kg, oops. Got back to fasting but not exercise and lost 300 grams . Was started to feel a bit down and I came across this thread, decided to give it a go and I am glad I did. I know you heard this a lot of times , but thank you so much wildmissus for the inspiration, redhead for your experience and everyone else for keeping motivation going while doing the no food fasts.

I will join you all on Monday for the 36 hr no food fast, have a nice weekend everyone.
Oh well done Roo - it makes those 36ers well worth while! My weekly weigh day is today (Saturday) and I've lost 1.8lbs after 2 x 36hr no food fasts this week - well pleased  So I'm definitely part of Wildmissus gang and am going to do it again next week (Mon/Thurs) - in the meantime though I'm going to enjoy the weekend without going silly  Have a great weekend all - see you back here Monday then (do we need a new thread anyone think? )
Thanks Redhead for posting the link to this thread :)

I am on the slow boat to nowhere and have been for weeks. I started 10 weeks ago and have lost 6 lb's in total :( very slow so after reading all these inspiring threads on 36hr fasts i'm going to give it a go on Monday - must warn the rest of the family i may be Extra grumpy lol

Ha! I know. Just thought people would think I was nuts or something. So glad so many have tried it now with no ill effects to show it's not dangerous or too extreme and that it gets results!

What is a TOTM?!

And yes, I think someone should start a new thread on Monday! I'm up for doing Monday with Emerald17, TracE - welcome TracE! - and whoever else and Thursday with everyone. I'm off now to enjoy my weekend and buy a couple of new clothes. Am trying not to shop until I get to my target (just half a stone to go) but nothing fits anymore!!
Congratulations roo, getting into the healthy bmi range Is a wonderful thing for your health and motivation.

Suchard007 and malteseer congrats also on your weight loss.

Thank god I'm not on Facebook as well. It's addictive enough coming on here to see how everyone's getting on. Lol
Well done everyone on their weight losses.......it certainly seems to have done the trick. Roo, congratulations.

Esmerelda, if you are thinking about doing a 36er in the future I would suggest getting yourself to one meal a day first and posting that you are going to do it. This would never have happened the way it did if no-one else came on board. Everyone has been so supportive.

Emerald, I'm not of facebook either, I don't have time, I on here all the time.

A lesson to be learned. It didn't seem to make any difference reading breadandwine's blog about breaking the fast. Although my first meal was fine I overcarbed yesterday and as much as I enjoyed what I ate I feel rotten today, my stomach is so bloated and heavy, it might explode later (some way or another!). I guess you have to experience it yourself to learn the lesson.
Hi All

Well done everyone. Im so excited by my 1.2 kg loss from my first 36 hour fast I am going to do my 2nd on Monday. Great to hear that lots of us will be, looking forward to hearing how we all do.
I'm doing this for the first time today! Was out with the flu for a week and, now that I've had another week to recover, am ready to try something to jumpstart fasting again. Right now, tummy rumbling but I'm not hungry. Have to make food for the kids, though, which always has me nibbling-- have to be mindful!
Well done Zahra, keep busy today and if you can manage to do it even only once then you've proven something to yourself. Be careful tomorrow, especially after being poorly, your mind might feel great but your body might feel stiff and tired. Let us know how you are getting on.
Yes, I'm on board for Monday and Thurs this week.
Good luck Zahra. Mindfull is the key.
Wow I'm in awe of some of you doing two 36 hour fasts in a week-that's hardcore

I dont think I can commit to that but I think I shall have a 'normal' fast on Tuesday & join those of you doing a 36 hour one on Thursday.

Good luck to everyone :clover:
