Morning fellow walkers. Still failed to make 70k steps last week despite what felt like loads of errands/events on foot. Must Try Harder. Will make the most of this gorgeous sunshine with a lunchtime walk.

No walk for me this morning. I didn't sleep last night, still awake at 6am and up at 7:30 :( . I feel ill. Thankfully I can go back to bed for a few hours. May try to go walking this afternoon to kill an hour before dinner. Happy walking all :)

Sorry you're unwell Dee but listening to your body is the best decision and if you're not up to it then skip a day we all do at some stage, take care @justdee

I'm not really unwell, I just feel it because so tired. I had another hour and feel a little better. Nothing an early night won't sort out. Hope you enjoyed your walk @Sue.Q :)

No walk for me today, I used all my energy mowing before the rain came...does that count ?
It was still walking backwards and forwards with a mower on a very steep hill, so I'm counting it as a walk !

Had a good walk around Wicksteed Park though many paths are currently inaccessible due to ongoing improvement work. Hope they finish soon.

Ah I forget about our friends from warmer climates!! I live in Yorkshire in the North of England and we are definitely not used to twenty degrees! Correct me if I am wrong but this is the first time it has been in the twenties for at least 7 months.

My pooch has recently been stripped so he doesn't have his big winter coat but he still gets hot and pants out walking in the full sun at this temperature. His breed is from colder climates though - Border terriers are designed to be out on the fells in Scotland in wind and rain!! And he does race around like a crazy thing so I guess that doesn't help!!

I've not been walking again today, I kept telling myself I'll go later but I haven't. I've had a really lazy day today and not done much of anything. I'd hate to know my step count for today :( So here it is, tomorrow I will go walking in the morning as soon as daughter goes to school. I will do my uphill walk twice, it should take about an hour and a half. I've told you all that I'll walk tomorrow because that seems to work for me, when I tell you all that I'll do it I will do it. I'll be back tomorrow to tell you I've done it. I hope everyone else is doing better with their walking than I am. Happy walking :)

I've been for a walk this morning. I didn't want to go but just got on with it. I only did it once, I will start doing longer walks when I get back from UK. Thanks for keeping an eye on me, I need it. :)

Hi Sallyo,
I used to run when younger, but have also couch potato tendencies.
I read somewheres that walking an hour a day, keeps your weight down. I walk after breakfast every morning for 30 min. I do Nordic walking in the forest to a lakeside and back, all year round. At weekend I do not use the sticks, for then I walk with my dear husband. Every afternoon husband and I walk an other half hour. We also walk when in town, when we go shopping, etc, etc.
I do not drive.
I bought Michael Mosley's Fast Exercise book, while in England, and now at the end of my morning walks I do 3 x 20 sec. very fast walking/ running with the sticks. You oughta see me!!! Luckily no one ever does.
