Hold on @janeg your holiday will soon be with you. We are fighting rain and strong winds at the moment but it is still quite warm (for us) 17 - 20 deg. So can't put on waterproofs or we sweat. Knowing Scotland it will change soon.
Just back from a very nice walk in the country 4 miles done
building myself back up slowly just to make sure I can make the returning half back to home. Lol

Very impressed with all the walks here. I have really lost the plot. Maybe tomorrow.
I did my usual walk yesterday around the walking track with Marley (dog), but it was unusual this time. It had rained the night before, so, aside from soaking my sneakers, I saw the most beautiful cobwebs! All were dotted with mist - the usual cobwebs that are spun between several points, and even neater to my eye, were the ones on the ground that were so finely woven and funneled down - probably to a waiting spider!
We are too hot, too cold and I'm just too busy with work ........
Blimey @Sue.Q 4 miles in recovery ............ that's impressive stuff!
@debbiejgb you made me smile. They are indeed beautiful. I open my French doors in the kitchen and often walk face into them along the pathway to the garden as they spin between the wall and house structure - 'cold wet spider slap' I call it! @janeg
Yeh @Sallyo out for you tomorrow, what's your plan? Whatever the weather, you also seem busy with work etc., so hard to tie down 'you time', well that is my excuse and it's perfect weather in the UK!
Change of plan, I've had to come home and feed Charlie Cat before my evening meeting. So that's an extra 2 miles for me and I'll get home at 9.30pm and enjoy a feta salad as it's my fast day.
Happy walking to all.

@janegOk, so here is the count down ........... tomorrow at 11.08 it will be 7 days, 18hours and 22mins we are looking forward to it ........ no pressure!
I walked yesterday! Did the usual parking the car down by the river and walked to work. On the way home I was able to go to the photography shop and pick up a cd of some historic photos I'd had digitalised and also go past the post office to post off my sister's birthday present. We are having a party to celebrate 20:30:40 - twenty years of marriage, 30 years I've lived in Tasmania and 40 years the OH has lived in Tasmania. So we have some photos of us, 20, 30 and 40 years ago. I am now going to organise those photos into an invitation. That's not about walking but it's exciting. My OH once had a girl friend from hell who destroyed all his photos so we are lucky to have any of him as a 25 year old.
Today no walking as I went to yoga. Sunny day at last and no wind. When I get my tax return I'm going to buy another pedometer and start again walking in the spring.

Well I walked on Monday and that's all for this week. Still stuck at home with guys working around the place. It's the driveway at the moment. I am sneaking off this afternoon to the hairdressers (grey hair regrowth waits for no one) so they will have to fend for themselves for a couple of hours.
Maybe next week will be a bit more normal.

Drizzling here so I did a couple of circuits of the shopping plaza. Better than nothing and I managed to not buy anything!
Hi @Sallyo 20 30 40 - how lovely, when is the party? Where did you both live before Tasmania?
Another beautiful sunny morning - the sky is blue. I hope this weather lasts until the last 2 weeks of August when I take some leave....... today I am going to walk for an hour at lunchtime from the office down to the Thames, I'd like to say where I will eat my lunch ... but it's a fast day, off to find the thread

6 days 22 hours and 43 minutes ...
20-30-40 party sounds lovely @sallyo. Loking forward to hearing about the planning and the actual event!
walking along the Thames @Lizbean. Give me a shout and I'll join you in my head. Done some lovely walk there.
Well done @chook for walking and not buying! We'll be hitting a centre at lunch time but it's to get things done for our holiday and lunch so probably not many steps will mount up.
@Wineoclockwhat are you aiming for next week walk wise?

Hi @Janeg I'm hoping to do 2 days of HIT and then one or two days with a 40 min walk to the local shops and back. I fell so unfit lately so really need to get moving.
@Sallyo the party sounds like a wonderful idea.

Hello fellow fasting walkers x well my usual fields and canal paths have been urbanised ( if that's a word) this week, thanks to the school hols. So far this week, Min and I have walked around Covent Garden, stopping for a bit of retail therapy along the way, then off to and around Trafalgar Square then walked to the theatre to see Horrible Histories. We've spent a day walking around London Zoo, checking out the bugs and snakes. Today we will be walking around regents park ( with a stop off at the open air theatre to see Porgy and Bess - gotta love Kids Week in the West End) and maybe a bit more zoo strolling ( we have annual ZSL passes so making the most of them) tomorrow we shall be walking around Whipsnade Zoo. So this week we have seen lions and tigers and bears, Richard the Lionheart , Queen Victoria, a large blue chicken, a new dress, several iced teas, but having a lot of fun on our way
Oh my @Minsmum sounds fantastic!
