Thanks for your replies. I blame xmas too. I think I just need a week to brush up on how many cals everything is. Before xmas I didn't need to count as I was eating under my TDEE and 5oo cals (on fastdays) with ease. It is warmer here than in the UK @Sue.Q but still feels cold to us. Roll on spring, I think a lot of us will find it much easier once it warms up a bit. I'm going to sign up to my fitness pal (if that's what it's called) in a minute so that should help. :)

Hi all, don't know if you remember me but I'm back. After weeks and weeks of not fasting I can report that I have regained almost all the weight I lost :( :( :( After a nudge from a fasting angel I have decided to give it another go. 4:3 here I come (monday, wednesday and friday). Wish me luck
Dee :)

Welcome back @justdee Yes we all make mistakes and admitting them is one hell of a first good move so put it all behind you and we'll both restart tomorrow back to basics and those "true" 500 cal fasts just like the first few days.

Hi @justdee Well as you can see you've not missed much at all because there are loads of us still bouncing
a few lbs around
@daydreamer21 Yes she's doing a very good job and what a change the new photo is an inspiration alone.

How's your first fastday going Dee? OK I hope.
Half way through for me but for some reason I'm hungry today recently returned from a walk so I'm off for a shower and pamper myself to kill a couple of hours.
quorn spag bol for my evening meal and have made a veg soup starter just to fill me up a little.
We can do this because there no better way fasting is for me easier and more enjoyable than calorie count diets even if we only manage one per week that's good.
Greedy girl going for three  Lol or are you making way for that birthday cake. :cake:

Hi all, todays fast is going well, I do hope I'm back in the zone. @Sallyo I stopped fasting because I hadn't really lost anything since xmas and my non fast days were getting way out of hand with the over eating. Even my fast days were going over 500. I just lost control of it all and my head won when it told me 'fastings not for me'. My eating habits had become worse than before I started. Well the result of stopping is I've gain back all my weight and I'm almost at my heaviest again :( my clothes don't fit and I feel terrible. :( Now I've had a good break from it and the weather is better I hope fasting works for me again, like it did in the beginning.
@Daydreamer21 you look lovely, I love your new hair cut, really suits you and you're putting me to shame with your weight loss, Well done hun keep it up xx
@Sue.Q I have told myself I will be doing 4:3 and this time I'm going to do it (Well, apart from next monday hehe!), I never really managed it before, I know 3 days off is too many for me so 4:3 it will have to be. I'm already feeling better in myself and I'm only halfway through day 1. It feels good to be back in control. I'll be having my all time fav chicken salad for dinner this evening, really looking forward to it. :) I'm going to have a look at everyone's stats/blogs later, to see what I've missed xx

Whoo hoo very pleased with self. Did a successful 4:3 this week and feel in control. I did get a bit weak last night and had a small helping of mixed nuts that I didn't count but took me over 500 cals. This morning I weighed in and oh happy days, I've lost 4lbs this week. The most I've ever lost in one week since I started fasting and the first time the number on the scale has gone down in quite some time. Now I know 4:3 is for me. On Mondays fast I will be having birthday cake but will try to have it as late in the day as poss, so I get a good fast in first and then skip breakfast on Tuesday to make up for it. Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Mother's day to all the mums.

This week was another 4:3 for me, well monday I did go over my 500 cals with cake but hay ho it was my birthday. Also mothers day the day before with some treats. The other 2 fast were find and I actually like doing 4:3 (that is really ADF on weekdays). On the nonfast days I'm finding I'm eating much less than I did on 5:2 but still feeling like I'm having everything I want (I just don't want as much). This week I've only lost 0.4lb. I know it's not a lot but because it was my birthday and mothers day this week I very happy with this. We had a meal out (which was a surprise so didn't plan for it foodwise) and my lovely daughter made me a birthday cake that has been hanging around the house all week. I have had cake on Mon, Tues and Thurs this week so that can't have helped. Next week will be better as all the cake has gone :) I will start exercising again this week, even if it's just going for a long walk every day. I've been putting it off but it really needs doing. :)

Well done @justdee You're doing a brilliant job as for the small loss they all add up in the bigger picture so keep doing what you're doing and now the cake has gone this weeks numbers should be good.

 I'd settle for half pound week right now!!!

I got 3 good fast in this week and have only lost .4 lb again. I know a loss is a loss and I'll take it but was hoping for more. I stayed within my 500 on fast days but I did go over TDEE more often than not on non fast days. The thing is I've started drinking a lot of milk and that is pushing me over my TDEE. This week I'm going to cut back on the milk and see if it makes a difference. Also started doing some light exercise this week. Got my fingers crossed for better loss next week. :)

Hi @justdee Yes a loss is a loss however small and some weeks you'll be more than happy with the same loss remember the times when you tried so hard then got nothing back in return, plus the extra exercise may be giving you a false reading due to water weight
with muscles etc.
Well done Dee you've done a great come back with
a stronger more determined outlook. :clover: :clover:
